Default Axial Wraith Anti-Sway Bars

I was browsing for a few parts for my wraith and I noticed these are now being produced. I figured that I'd have seen people running them by now, but I searched and didnt find any talk about them.

Front and rear Axial Wraith Anti-Sway Bar Kits....MSRP = $45, but I got mine from Amain for $39 each.

Hmm looks like a currie anti-rock, I would be interested to see if it had the same effect of providing traction. I may have to try them out.

Yep, same principle. I love the anit-rock on my 1:1, so I figured why not on the wraith?!?

I think HR or Integy offers something similar. I know for a fact that I could have used it when I re-built the Pirate Bronco.

I fact, I'm certain any top heacy scaler could use this thing and greatly benefit.

Oh, they do. But I really dont like either of those companies or their products and avoid them when I can.

I agree too. My Wraith is mostly stock, but has a fast motor that crawls well.....so I figured a front kit would be nice.

I have the HR set and it is the only thing that makes my wraith controllable.

Will this work with a VP servo chassis mount on the front and a 4ws set up on the rear using the stock Axial servo mount ?

I have the VP CMS kit and the HR sway bars and saw a huge difference in handling. If the Axisl ones had been out when I got the HR ones I would have bought those instead. I really havnt had s bit of problems the HR ones though to be honest.

They are on my next order. Hoping it helps a little with high speed roll overs and don't affect crawling in a negative way.

The whole point of a sway bar is performance in cornering and anti roll. If you put it on a crawler it will hinder your crawling capabilities quite a bit because each arm works in unison to fight the sway. If one wheel runs over a rock the other will want to move up with it as the suspension compresses.

That all depends on the stiffness of the bar.

BTW, mine showed up today and I just finished installing them....if I can get out of work at a decent hour today, then I might get to drive this thing.

Yeah it depends on the bar but even the softest bar won't allow to flex as much as not having one at all and he said that he had hoped it wouldn't effect his crawling performance.

Crawling isn't only about articulation.

Just like your comp rig...

I was just outside driving this truck at full speed (17.5T on 3S with stock gearing) and it handles like a dream! For as inexpensive as this mod is, it is well worth it!

Yeah correct problem is when you come up on an obstacle at an angle and the rig can't form to the object and it (rolls) over because one wheel is hindered by the other wheel that is already on the object. That's why the sway bar will take away from crawler part but anyway your right it does enhance the rock racer part of the wraith and that's the reason I added the tube for the sway bars to be mounted.

Well, I installed the softest bar that came with the Axial kit and it doesn't seem to have much effect on the articulation. If you pick the front tire of the truck up, it will bottom out the shock before the opposing rear tire comes off the ground. I also notice that it's a lot more stable during high speed cornering.

You installed front and back ones?
