For that price I should hope they're metal. Probably sintered.

The gears are hardened steel. The same material as our very popular XR10 gears that have proven to be very durable.

wonder when they will be back in stock. RC4Wd makes some great products but always seem to be out of stock.

Katan, this is a nice option (price wise) instead of the R3 2speed trans for those of us that will use this for non-Axial based rigs. Have any of the testers used this in a heavy ( 12+ lbs) rig?

| Re: RC4WD - sneak peek at new a product coming soon... What was the heaviest rig you tested? Can you switch gears while driving, or do you need to stop the car? What parts are aluminum? I'm really looking forward for some reviews and tests, this is the thing I want if it can take the abuse. |

So, is the price going up later? Because the store shows some kind of savings for me. Quote:

Will be running 3s with brood intensity 19t, if not fast enough, I will try with 4s with 25t chaos. I am not after outright speed and was happy with 3s 19t intensity, but a bit more speed won't hurt when you tackle the sand pit. I am not sure if the price will go up, it seem to be a fair price (the discounted price), it just the postage to Australia kill me.... Last edited by Colgout; 07-30-2012 at 05:14 AM. | |

I'm not very happy they only have one shipping option to Canada. I'm not paying 40% of the item just to send it here. That's ridiculous. More shipping options please. |
