Default need help with hobbywing esc

hey guys i just installed a js4 combo in my wraith and when programming it for forward/reverse/brake it would just go in one direction, so i change the settings to just forward with reverse and that give me both directions of travel but they are reversed, so i tried reversing the throttle channel on transmitter and that did change the direction but now it goes really slow in forward and fast in reverse. also one more thing when i turn everything on i get a solid green light on the esc and the manual says no lights should be lit up

They offer a programming card to make changes to the settings, sounds like your reverse amount is set really low in either the esc or the tx. If you are running a brushless motor you can switch any two motor wires to change the direction of the motor.

Shouldn't be a problem.

ok so i got it working, i flipped the diff gears and its fixed. drag brake is really strong, doesn't go really fast like you might think, plenty of torque though, reverse is really slow also. overall im happy with it, i also installed a hitec 7954 servo and it is great, never seen my wraith wheels turn that much. so much that the tie rod is hitting the vanquish diff cover, ok so i got a question about the hitec servo arm, the blue aluminum one is mounted but it seems a little short so the drag link is not straight, on a slight angle. does anyone else have this arm installed on theirs

If your getting full steering throw I would'nt worry about the short servo arm length..
