Thanks, Norm. I might have to hit you up for some parts.

Got a package in today. SuperShafty top shaft and Castle BECs. You can also see Stig's legs. Made some progress.

The pin for the slipper on the SuperShafty top shaft is a larger diameter than the stock pin/slipper. I could slot the stock Wraith slipper to fit the larger pin (and almost did), but I'll probably go with the Robinson spur.

Parts from Locked Up RC arrived.

C.L.A.W. v2 with controller and scale rear hubs.

Hubs installed. What do you guys think? Leave'm as is or shorten them?

Now that I have the winch, I need to get work making a new front light mount/winch plate.

x2, If ther is enough material i'd shorten em up a little. Are those the nut replacements or the nut covers?

These are the covers.

Four replacements and installation tool are now on the way. They'll be the better option to shorten.

With as much power your running the Robinson will be the better direction, probably smoke the factory in no time hahaha. Jason, you might have said this already but what was your reason going to the Irok's? Been reading up on my next tire purchase and you seem to not be a newbie (lmao) so I figured I'd ask.

Or run Traxxas Slash slipper set up for a total of about $15 since you already have the Traxxas spur, is slotted for the larger pin and a much better slipper design than stock

When it came to tires for this I wanted something that looked scale and would perform well. For me the Iroks were the top choice.

Something I didn't know. (not too familiar with the Slash)

Much appreciated!

Did a little work with the C.L.A.W. tonight. Some of the stock black paint was flaking off the brass gear housing that bolts to the motor so I tore it down, stripped it all, primed it in white, then shot it with some Rust-Oleum Safety Red. Once reassembled it should resemble the Warn 9.0 RC.

Hopefully that helps, I bought the clutch hub and pressure plate for $5 and the rebuild kit for $10 that came with the friction pegs, slipper disc and spring/locknut. Already had traxxas spurs also, all you'll need that isn't supplied in those two part kits is the bearing, I believe 5x11x4 IIRC.

Thanks. I didn't look around to check compatibility of the stock Traxxas stuff. If I can go with a plastic spur I'll be much happier - less rotating mass.

Got the winch back together. Need to get decals on it and then shoot some clear on the red parts. Going to cut the fairlead off of the stock mount and use a different one. I have about 100 delrin hawse fairleads here, might put one to use. Debating that KK hook as well.

*EDIT*

Found winch line that young_version gave to me when we were in the hotel.

Got it spooled onto the drum. Tomorrow I'll make a new front light mount/winch plate.

Working on getting the winch installed. Part of it involves a new front skidplate.

Simplest thing to do was just Xerox the stock skid.

Used template tape to stick the stock Exo skid on some suitable aluminum, then did rough trimming on the band saw.

After rough trimming. Ready for the router lift.

Trimmed on the router.

And in place. Need to drill mounting holes but I can do it later. This part will get modified for a fairlead.

Won't need seats, Norm. Just some harness hardware and an extinguisher if you have it.

Got the front skid drilled and cut for the fairlead.

Now to make a new front light and winch mounting plate.

Got the C.L.A.W. mounted. Had to make a new light mount/winch plate to get the winch where I wanted it.

Tomorrow I'll finish shaping the front of the mount around the LED bar and drill/slot the bottom of the C.L.A.W. mounting plate. The winch line will run out of the bottom of the winch, under the LED, and through the fairlead. That plate is still in rough shape.

When that's done it'll get paint and I'll be done with the front - finally.

Finished modifying the C.L.A.W. base plate. Winch line is now routed through the bottom

Cleaned up the edges of the winch plate and painted it last night.

Got everything installed today. The winch plate/LED mount will rotate forward and fit tighter against the top of the Exo skid/bumper when I tie the Wraith cage to the Wraith portion of the front bumper.
