Eventually.

Actually, not 100% positive what I will be using. Will have to see.

Thanks, guys.

But...I just put stuff together that other people make.

I've been working late getting things ready for the upcoming G6 that's April 5th-7th.

Should be done with this by then.

Hey I have just built myself one of these and I need some help. I built it with a brushless system and the standard clutch just doesn't cut it. I have been through your thread numerous times trying to find the clutch your using. Can you please tell me what clutch system your using? Any advice would be greatly appreciated
Thankyou

Bob on my roll cage I am using some Axial set screws. I threaded it in on one side and the other side I drilled out just smaller then the set screw. It was only just undersized, so i could push it together the first mm or two before it stopped. I then heated the slightly undersized side a bit and applied pressure until it popped together. I have beaten the crap out of it and so far so good. My next update on my build thread this weekend will include pictures if you need them.

I only used pins to hold the one up right tube into the corner of the b pillar.

I did just eye it up for when I drilled it out. It does take some practice to get it down though. I had to sand a little bit as mine didn't stay exactly centered on two of my holes. If I were to do it all again I would use thin metal pins to hold it together for mock up and then once everything is perfect I would drill it out larger to except the set screws. I thought about doing a small change to one of the cuts I did, but I literally could not pull the set screw joined tube apart without risking snapping something. Can't say it turned out bad as all my wraith roof skin holes lined back up in the end.

Small update:

Got it up and running. An hour prior to the start of the Shaka Brah Classic II G6. The first stage of the G6 was a night stage. Got to the G6, unloaded, people checked out the rig, went through the drivers meeting, and we ran the 1.9 class.

Course was 75 gates (two missing) and we had to run two laps for a total of 146 gates. Finished the 1.9 in two hours and thirty minutes or so.

Grabbed the IFS and went out to do a lap to see how the rig would do on the course. Lost the left rear RC4WD drive flange wheel nut between gates 20 and 21. Spent about 20 minutes looking for it, gave up, installed a regular wheel nut and went on. Drove the rest of the course and crossed the start/finish line...only to find out Parker was keeping time!

Then it was hammer time.

Two laps, 146 gates in 46 minutes. Had so much fun I put in another lap.

What's crazy is that if you take out the 20 minutes spent looking for the last wheel nut I ran those gates in 26 minutes.

Ran today's stage and had a servo mount screw loosen on the rear axle. Quick fix and back in action. Very happy with how it's performing.
