Decals added then clear coat

Who is that shadowy figure?

I removed the axial aluminum shocks and want to go with some 120mm shocks for more travel. I have HR shocks on my crawler and they work great anybody have other suggestions?

Funny car action

OK this is my officialy my favorite wraith I've seen. How is the paint in the frame holding up? The way the body tilts up is a very nice touch.

This has been in the build garage for 4 months, hasn't seen a single run yet, but it is close to being done!

Finished up the wiring, next up, connection of the electronics! Got the shocks filled and mounted. Bottom skids attached, interior finished and driver installed. Busy day and a lot done. Still some more to go though.

Got some more work done tonight. Removed the chassis mounted servo for starters. I was getting all kinds of binding int eh suspension even with removing one of the upper links, plus I feel the axle mount servo will give me more strength. I bolted down the hood to the panel I used for the hinged hood. Added some decals and changed the socks and shoes. I took these from another build I am currently working on. Mickey Thompsons. I ran it a little around the living room and the bedroom. I tried to climb some small area and had no strength. Its geared 80/20 at this point with a 20t motor. I got some blue smoke from trying to make it climb a small matress. Think I need to gear down or go to a 35t motor instead. Thoughts? Suggestions?

So I lost the wheels for now with the mickey thompsons and went back to the original tires and wheels. I think the blue wheels I had are really cheap and dont hold the tire in the bead very well. I also lost the axle wideners as in just basic testing of operation I found the larger tires really hard to steer. Even with 7v going to the steering servo it still struggled and was a day and night difference after I removed them. I burned up a Novak 20t motor so I installed an RC4WD 35t and changed the pinion from 20t to 16t. The whole drive system is really solid and I am impressed with the strength. I waterproofed the servo and installed that. Oh yeah and added some side view mirrors. I am for now going to call this done, but its never really done, I already have some ideas for it but I need to get this thing dirty and on the rocks already!

So I finally got it out on the rocks. My complex has some great spots to crawl on next to the lake. Performance was overall great. I did however fry the servo, which is weird because I have used this same servo on my AX10 with no issues. Maybe it was just a defective one. I am pumping 7v from a Castle BEC and the servo is rated to 7.4. ( I have learned from the past to not push the high rating because they seem to over rate things in this industry) I have to tear into the vehicle and snake out the old servo then install the new one. This time I will make it easier to remove by adding a connector closer to the servo location. I also need to maike it easier to access the electronics so I am looking at the rear cage mod that is made by BGR fabrications that hold the spare tire. I will be loosing the roof rack and a majority of my accessories but I prefer the ease of use over the looks. Anyways here is a pic of it on the rocks!
