Thanks everyone for the positive feedback, it's what keeps a build like this going and the money spending. Hahaha
Got the shocks ordered this morning and fixing to box up the rear axle to get sent off for some tiny Tig welding.
Dang rear axle link mounts are 2" wider apart than a stock housing and the offset diff will make for an interesting problem for link placement. Not looking forward to that part.

As mentioned before, work of art, can be wrapped in glass and stared at all day.

Well the axle housing is sent off to be Tig welded. I also made a blueprint of the shafts and sent it off to have some titanium shafts cut for the rear as well. Just didn't feel comfortable using a lesser grade material on an axle shaft that is 7.4375 long, plus I get to have two more Vendors of the site included on this build.
Thanks to Bill @ BGR Fab and Bob @ CBRB

New engine arrived. Functional butterflies and braided fuel line.

Can anyone electronic savy tell me if I can wire a servo inline with the throttle to make the butterflies function while driving?

Didn't want to hijack your thread. I bought two sets of the LockedUp proto hubs and painted them up this weekend. Used Model Masters Brass #1782 to give them the Warn Premium Hub look.

I don't see why not. It shouldn't hurt any thing, the speed control may not get the full voltage it needs though. I'm not sure if you could use a CC BEC for it if it takes away to much power from the esc. Also if you use a multi channel radio with mixing and a multiple outputs on your receiver would work also.

I know that with the Novak escs they have a deal for lights on there. They are supposed to brighten and dim as you drive. I wonder if this type of power would be enough to operate a micro servo? The only downside would be that you had a Novak esc though, so the benefit probably wouldnt outweigh the negative.

Clay, thank you for the compliment. The detail on your axles is amazing. It is great seeing the products being put out by Texas vendors such as yourself, TSS and Locked Up.

Well how's about this for some scale axle detail porn. Might have to put a poll up on which axles should finally go under this rig. This is the rear BlackRock 60 housing complete minus link mounts.

Easy. All you need is a Y servo cable. Connect one end to the RX, one of the Y leads to the ESC, and the other Y lead to the "throttle" servo. The servo will move according to how much throttle input you give.
Microgoat used this technique to make a working tachometer.

So this plug I have should work? It has a male end on one and the other has a dual female socket. Just plug male in to RX where the esc was and then the esc and servo into the other? Or have to be the y harness you listed?

That cable should work. It looks like it is the same idea as a Y cable.

You could just test it with 2 servos and make sure they turn together.

Good deal. I pulled it off an old TLT that was running dual servos through this. I guess now the only concern is voltage?

If it was running dual servos then it should work perfect for you.

How many volts do you run to your RX to run the speed control? Even most micro servos are rated for 6.0V.

I believe it's probably 6v. Eddie(novasark) usually sets all my electronics up for me, it's the last piece of the puzzle I still haven't gotten really comfortable with. Electronics that is. I really need to learn that end of the spectrum better.
Thanks for the help thus far

It's not that bad once you have done it a few times.

I hope to see it working when I get back from the lake.
