Im so sorry I hate your build.. J/K I like to drive my crawlers and that is just to nice to be put in harms way. Really It is just all out sick. I wish I had the skills you have. I will one day build me something Like this. It will have to be a shelf queen because I could never let it get scratched or rock rashed. I just spent all morning reading the build thread on this thing and it just makes me want more. I think you just got me motivated to start a serious one of a kind build with all the fixxins. |

Holy crap!! These live up to all the hype. Took the truck out today despite it being nasty and wet still. I hate wheeling in these conditions mainly because of cleanup and it was the first time running these tires. They have been mounted since Sunday night and I just couldn't hold out anymore. They work so good it's ridiculous! No BS!! I still run a slipper on my truck and usually never notice it unless its really bound up. These tires have so much traction that it was constantly spinning the slipper, but that's okay. They also don't have any bounce to them when I get I in the throttle and back out. They just settle. Super stable. Throw mud and dirt more than the cut x2ss Boggers, learned that the hard way. Just an all out amazing tire. |

Thanks for the review Clay. I fondled a set of 1.9s and thought wow, these are amazing. I just need to build a large scale rig to run them. I can't see them on my buggy looking scale. |

| Gregg I'm fixin I get another set and have them cut down to 5.5 or a touch smaller for my sons rig. I don't see any point in even running his truck without them. You should do the same. Just take a 1/4" or however much you need out of the tread and close it back up. Still mount on 2.2s.

I never thought of that. Cutting and shutting a set of 2.2s to 2.2! How about you do it first, and I'll copy you. |

Are you running any weight in the wheels?

| No sir. Ally weight comes from the axle housings. Weight is necessary sometimes for most rigs, but when I removed the weight from my wheels long ago and noticed the increase in horsepower, I never looked back. It's more durable not havin that extra rotating mass out there too. I still run weights in plastic axles rigs though. |

I just read through this whole thread and I now sit with my jaw on the floor again... being a complete newbie to this all, I am completely in awe of what you guys are able to create, and the dedication and attention to details is mind blowing... I live down in South Africa, and only discovered these types of buggies/crawlers through the web, and instantly fell in love with them.... and seeing you guys do tribute to the 1:1 versions like you do is incredible... Congrats on an amazing project, would love to see some video of this running.... Hopefully one day I'll be able to own one of these, they are incredible... hats off to you CarterFab! |

Looking for someone who can edit video that's interested in helping out. I don't have the abilities to do the cool stuff like isolate certain parts in slow-motion, or the know how. Only software I have is iMovie and have not messed with it, in over nine years since my son was first born, and even then did not do any fancy stuff. If you're willing, I can just mail a thumb drive with video as that would probably be easiest Thanks Clay |

Clay I'd be happy to help out mate, but time is minimal for me at the moment as well... I work in the film/photo production business ( I'm a producer ) and while editing isn't what I do for a living, I can mess around with it a bit... Problem is I'm down in South Africa, getting the footage would be a bit of a beeeyotch... If you have an iPad, I can recommend getting two apps which make simple editing ( running treatments, effects, cutting/splicing etc ) even with very little experience... the first is called "Movie Looks" which has a huge amount of effects/gradings which are simple to throw over the footage, as well as cut it into smaller quick segments. I then use Avid Studio to put them together with music and titles etc... Granted its by no means a professional edit, but its a pretty cool set of apps that makes editing really simple.. I come from a photography producer background, so my experience is all with stills editing, but my first attempt at video editing I did on my iPad, in about 145 minutes, and came up with this: Thunder Tiger MT4 G3 - YouTube Its super rough, and the initial footage isn't great, but for 15 minutes the first time trying new software, it's pretty fun... With your guys tech skills I'm sure you could knock up something epic in double time... Either way, would love to see some footage of this machine out there wheelin!! |
