So what's the problem Outlaw. It looks like the threads on the cap are 8mm x 0.5. We will basically be loosing an inch of overall length. That won't leave any adjustment for the spanner, but it will leave enough for it to at least screw back on in place. I would chop the reservoirs off too, cuz they will be rather large on the short shock.
You can't be scared all your life! Hahaha
Let me know

Where did you get the brass fittings for the rubber hose? And what size is it?

Haha. Mind tricks son.
The "brass fitting" is actually a 2mm screw bolted into the cap. Ran a brass nut down on it. Cut the head of the screw off.
The "rubber hose" is actually a piece of silver solder wire wrapped with heat shrink used on wiring.
I drilled and tapped the reservoir, installed a 2mm screw, then sleeved a piece of solder that would leave enough on each end to be glued on to the screws of the cap and reservoir. Let dry. Heat the heat shrink and TA-DA!!
Just crap I had laying around that looked the part when assembled. Chose the "rubber hose" method over normal electrical wire due to the fact that I can shape it and it will hold.
Used a 2mm scale hex bolt for the schrader valve on the reservoir.

I think the reason being is that there is not really a format where they just bolt up like shocks or wheels. Only way to make them scale is to have the cans welded on and most people just aren't up for that.
I was thinking a pin spring inside to make it return to extension.

I actually made them so they are adjustable up and down. Works really well.

I was wondering when Tum was gonna say something.
Im pretty sure both him and I were the first with Functional Bump Stops. But his were made right.

With remotes.

Yeah Tim, thats along the lines I was thinking. Gonna have to add some Teflon bumpers to mine though, can't be having metal on metal. Did you just weld the caps on once together?

Chassis is home at last. Bolted up the Titan 60 axles just to get an idea. Gonna make a few tweaks and figure out how to get the rear Ultimate 9 axle in there.

Would like to run scale links but these rod ends are pretty sloppy. Any suggestions? Might have to be happy with just scale hardware.

Got the "?" brand hubs modified the same way as LockedUp RC makes there's. Bored out the back side enough so that a normal lock nut still holds the actual wheel, then these screw down with the remaining threads from the shaft.

The heims I have on one of my trucks are nice and tight. Side to side sitting in the link mounts, I shimmed with small conical washers though. Yours look different than mine. The chassis looks sick!
