Thanks. It was fun to build. Still had some ideas for it but oh well.

Nope. I smoked the rear ring gear parking lot surfing and I was helping run the 2.2s class that day, so I ran out of time too.
Did get to run a 3300 pack doing some highspeed dirt bashing before tearing up the gear. Should have shimmed it better.
I've put 3 5000 packs through it with the rear end messed up. Carterfab should have me some HD gears here soon

Got the new gears in it last week and all I can say is wow. Fast, smooth and jumps pretty good also. I almost have everything for rear steer just need to get one more long side wraith universal and a servo mount. I probably will only use it while crawling around the house and maybe in the trails when out in the 1:1 or rzr while waiting for someone to fix something. Hopefully a 7954 or 7955 will keep the rear straight when going fast. If not I guess I'll have to buy another 7950 or something. Or make lock out links and disconnect the servo linkage when not using the rear steer, we have done that on 1:1 stuff when a comp doesn't allow rear steer and it has worked extremely well. I'll put up a short video from behind my office where our pool was.

Short video. Throttle is set at 60% until I can control it a little better.

Front gears were good when I sold it. The Rear gears were bad cause they were the stock Axial ones.

I think the 4S and the combined weight of this rig might be the issue.
When I had it, 3S was almost too much and I had to be easy on the throttle or stuff would break I am sure.

They don't have to be EXO gears.
Good place to start. Any Axial AX10, Wraith or EXO ring/pinion gears will work. I put a HR locker up front.

Those Wheels do weigh a bit as well.

"Stock" ratio. Should be back a few pages in the build but I might have failed to list it.

I didnt want to run different ratios and only had one good set of HD gears and those went the front. The rear was a non-HD metal gear turned down by CarterFab but didn't last long. irokcrawl replaced the rear gears with HD turned down by CarterFab

The housing itself is shaved for clearance. You have to trim down the od to clear the belly of the axle case.

FWIW, I have found that the exo plastic gear cases have alot of flex. I added some preload to the ring gear with some 10mm shims behind the gear bearing to tighten up the mesh.

I was eyeing this thing on Pirate4x4. It's the first thing that comes up when you Google "IFS Wraith"

It's the same one. I bought it from Shane and then sold it after it sat in my office for 2 months. Awesome rig with really good parts..
