well got more goodies for the kit (I can find parts and parts but I can find time to finish it)

some nice axial 8-hole wheels with aluminum rings (the tire is the stock r35 ripsaws for the kit and the combo looks awesome) and also found a stock wraith Tx for a bargain price, and I think Im all set to finish the build now, well I just need to find a stock wraith Rx for a nice price during the next couple of days or I will borrow the Fs-gt2 until finding the axial rx, I really love how small its the stock Ax-3 radio and that only uses 4 batts instead of 8 like most radios if only was 3-ch radio.

PD: shocks are all good now with 20wt oil on them.

why there are 3 different sizes of drive shafts in the wraith kit?

small 45mm
medium 55mm
large 60mm

which one is the normal size to go as first option?

are they that way for different height set ups?

- so far the tranny is done and installed in the skid plate
- skidplate was mod'd to make a 550 can fit
- servo was Waterproofed (dielectric grease, marine grease and liquid tape)

next thing on my to do list is to paint the interior, roof, hood and side panels.
with the roof and hood I have no problems, but with the interior and side paneles I was wondering if I just have to cut in the pre-cut lines or there is any tip, trick or advice to cut little bit more or less here or there, Im asking this because in the last body I cut I found out that I could have cut less in some parts (not exactly in the pre-cut lines) and the car would look bit better (imo).
I dont know if could be a case with the wraith body

Use the longest ones for the Wraith, the others are for Honcho and Dingo.

well have the body already cut to fit, pending painting (still deciding on the scheme), interior body is ready to paint too and install the tiny scale stickers and the chassis is complete.
I can see it almost like a roller, wheels/tires are done, axles are done, tranny done, I still need to break in the motor and install the wires.

its something!!

I really like the size of the chassis is bit bigger than I though it was going to be....man, this is going to be gooood!!

well the thread is not dead LOL, wraith either..
it just that it was almost finished but It took a different turn and decided to paint the chassis on "brushed aluminum" color (silver), so I have to disambled everything to make a good painting and paint piece by piece on the chassis, right now is on the bodyshop all in pieces again.

interior is ready and painted Oyster shell color (actually I really like it) pic dont do justice.

drive shafts have a wood heart to try to hold bit more that stock (since they are hollow), I was thinking to fill them with steel or aluminum but couldnt found anything that fit there nicely, wood should at least be better than nothing

and new batteries LIFE 3s 9.9v 4500mah and 2200mah, first time trying them so I willl report later my results

stay tune and have fun

let the mods continue....

add 3.5oz on each front tire and 2oz on rears, also did some irregular cuts on the stock foams to make them little bit softer

chassis is ready to roll, time to assemble everything again..

now its in the same point of time that it was some weeks ago but painted, and this time servo, tx/rx, batts, interior, links, motor, tranny and side panels are ready to rumble.

I dont have much faith on the chrome paint to hold well on trail runs or rock crawling but a real aluminum stinger is in my pending list

now I need a driver...

Wow do you have patience. It has been over three months since you picked up the kit. That first scratch is really going to hurt

LOL its not patience my friend.. its having 3 kids (14, 9 and 2 yo), one full job that make me work late almost everyday, weekends full of kid's sports games and a wife that wants to have a free time from the 3 kids LOL, that give me almost zero time for the kit, but hey.. I have news.. it's finally done.. this time for real LOL..

some pics later at my lunch time.. lunch time its all mine no kids, no wife LOL

well finally, after weeks and weeks the Wraith is finally done and ready to roll, but first some final pics of the build and at the end some glam pics before gets dirty and scratched

interior properly installed and cut to accept a front battery mod

electronics installed on its place, Xl-5 ESC and rx on its WP box (painted blue and white like a cooler), both placed in the stock battery tray

the chrome tubing wraith, seems like ready to accept a terminator T1000 as driver but still undecided what to chose, master chief was there just checking the driver side.

and now the glam pics to introduce Baja Wraith to the Crawler community

posing shot on a dirt mount

obligated front flex shoot

obligated rear flex shoot

posing shoot on the Rocks

the whole paint job

stay tune for some first driving videos.. I hope soon

have fun
