Default Differential ~ Slop @ Pinion (36/14)???

Im noticing a fair amount of play (slop) in the pinion at the diffeential which seems to be coming from the bearing inner race. Im sure this is common on any pinion/ring gear combo but how are you guys combatting this one?

up/down//left/right play or in/out? Are there two bearings and both are good?

I put a Traxxas teflon 5mm washer between the outer bearing and MIP shaft to keep the pinion out away from the diff where the mesh seems happiest and left it at that.

in/out which i beleive is fine, its up/down making the driveshaft wobble signifigantly by hand (manual) and the bearings are both still relatively new. Just got the wraith a month or so ago and have only a dozen runs on er'

I've got the overdrive ring and pinion in my Wraith and there is a little up/down play, but it doesn't seem to affect the balance of the drive train. Stock WB driveshafts with inserts for strength.

Maybe your driveshaft(s) have a bit of a twist making them run out of balance?

What driveshafts are you running? My MIPs have a little slop in em. The pinion is actually not where most of the play is coming from. If you have MIP driveshafts I have heard that the play can be helped by using Traxxas style driveshaft set screws with a small shoulder. Haven't tried it because the play doesn't seem to be bothering anything.
