SkaldidDog's "Buck-Nasty" Trailing Arms

Here you go Rob. I'll post all of the pics tomorrow. Time to drive and tune. Dramatic improvement. Sorry but posting from a phone is a pain.

Here you go. This will give some folks a better idea of all of the annoyingly slow steps parts take to make.

Square off block.

http://i1229.photobucket.com/albums/.../IMG_12611.jpg

Clone stock.

http://i1229.photobucket.com/albums/.../IMG_12631.jpg

Purty.

http://i1229.photobucket.com/albums/.../IMG_12641.jpg

Drill.

http://i1229.photobucket.com/albums/.../IMG_12651.jpg

Tap.

http://i1229.photobucket.com/albums/.../IMG_12661.jpg

Mill.

http://i1229.photobucket.com/albums/.../IMG_12701.jpg

X2

http://i1229.photobucket.com/albums/.../IMG_12711.jpg

Rough cut, drill and mock uppers.

http://i1229.photobucket.com/albums/.../IMG_12751.jpg

Tune uppers further.

http://i1229.photobucket.com/albums/.../IMG_12761.jpg

Viola! (yes I skipped some steps).

http://i1229.photobucket.com/albums/.../IMG_12841.jpg

http://i1229.photobucket.com/albums/.../IMG_12771.jpg

Need to polish mill the uppers to remove extrusion scar.

http://i1229.photobucket.com/albums/.../IMG_12781.jpg

Full mush belly at ~1.5".

http://i1229.photobucket.com/albums/.../IMG_12801.jpg

Full droop belly at ~3"+.

http://i1229.photobucket.com/albums/.../IMG_12811.jpg

Maybe a little too twisty.

http://i1229.photobucket.com/albums/.../IMG_12821.jpg

Pre bash.

http://i1229.photobucket.com/albums/.../IMG_12831.jpg

Post glory-dirt.

http://i1229.photobucket.com/albums/.../IMG_12861.jpg

Hope this doesn't crash when I submit.

Cool stuff going on in here. My wraith got way better when I outboarded the rear shocks. You gain spring rate in articulation but not in compression. I bet if you outboard the arms on yours it will tame some of that excess articulation and make it corner a lot better.

Thanks Calderwood. By outboard do you mean move the axle mount points outward towards the wheels (spread the links on the axle?

Cheers,

J

That's how I interpreted it and that's what I'd try.

Hmmmm. Sway bars seem way more complicated and difficult. That's more my style. Decisions, decisions.

Only if you guys promise to be nice to me and not make fun of my rig, my driving or the clothes my mom picks out for me that day. Oh, and tell that Jake guy to slow down, he's gonna cause me to scratch my truck.

Good point. I'll gladly accept your kind offer any time you feel like laying down some binary code.

Thanks man!
