With the 4mm screws holding knuckles on what do you do about the steel hat peice that is the steering pivot surface? Screw threads will eat the aluminum knuckles...

Update: JB weld rocks! Whooped on it some last night and no movement at all. Problem solved for the front end at least.

| Updates: Tough Chubs and BGR front bumper
JB Weld on my chubs solved the problem of screws backing out for sure. I beat the snot out of the rig and the chubs won't budge. VP parts are insane tough. Get 'em if you can. Installed a fine piece of craftsmanship from BGR Fab. Incredible looking work. Love it. Thanks BGR. J |

Nice to know it's holding up good-n-tite for you... Btw - I got VP trusses and their servo armor - no more runaway servo! Cheers, T |

| SkaldidDog's "Buck-Nasty" Wraith: Updates
Hey y'all, Thanks BGR fab' for the stubby bumper. Nice work yet again. Just a pic to show the two versions side by side. Installed easily and is mucho tough. Got a set of SDS HD universals last week. Man they are beautiful. It's a shame to have to whoop up on but that's what they were made for. As you can see they come with a 7075 locker reminiscent of a Berg locker. Being a Bergophile, I like that design. In order to maximize their life I dumped the Berg stock brass bushings and made some that fit perfectly. Each one is polished to fit within a thou' or two. They were snug at the start but after one 2-hour pack they are butter. I love the extra steering throw and the smooth axle rotation at full lock. Really makes a differene in high speed handling. Thanks for watching. J |

| Re: SkaldidDog's "Buck-Nasty" Wraith Thanks Gents. As you all know the stock seats are cool looking but weight almost a quarter of a pound between the two of them. I made set from 7075 (not bent yet, in foreground) and then realized one was a perfect template for making a lexan version that was even lighter and easier to make. I'll peel the blue and paint them in some cool pattern. With the mask they are 6.3g ea. I'll fasten them to the interior with some small nuts/screws. J |

| Cookie Monster!!!!! Thanks Crit Rat. I went out to my garage the other day and dangit if a couple of cookie monsters hadn't fired up my wraith and were playing RTI games. I left them alone for a bit as they were having a ton of fun but when they wanted to start jumping the rig off my toolbox to the floor I had to step in. I'm loving my S300HD universals!!! Man are they smooth and tough as hell. Got some steel bushings to try out when the brass stockers are put out to pasture. Thanks John. |
