| Sam's wraith.
Well just swapped a trail stomper for this bad boy... so stripped it down for a clean and to see how it goes together... made a bumper as the plastic one is shocking and already broken in 3 places, just wanted something to protect the servo... then took her out for a run, and adsolutely loved it! I've also made up some bonnet hinges out of brass to make accessing electric's easier and I'll probably put battery under there and then re-locate electric's to the rear. plans are for a lot more metal, maybe a KOH style chassis as I want to start using my T.I.G. skills for something other than work, ha. |

Yep driver does look a little large! So i've moved the seat forward so that it reclines and the driver sits further down so better suits the wraith. I've also customized the rear of cage and made some stainless steel rear links, I'll make some front ones tomorrow. Amazing how much the rear end has tightened up! I've also made a front bumper just painted it so waiting for it too dry before fitting it. some pic's... I'll post pic's of bumper once fitted! |

New bumper on, painted with hammerite and am not happy with the finish so i've lightly sanded it to give it a "worn" look i'll repaint at some point. also add a split pin for making accessing the battery a bit easier. let me know what you think! |

Made up some new steering links today, as wasn't too happy with the big ali one it came with. I think the 3mm stainless looks a bit more "scale" Also re-shimmed kingpins to take out any slop and put in a 50t motor to slow it down and help it crawl. |

right so i've had a bit more of a play with the wraith it's now running a traxxas xl5 and a 55t motor so it crawls great and doesn't mind being dunked ;) I've also been playing with a bit of ali I had left over from a job at work... as you can see i went behind the seat with the ali rather than follow the orginal lines of the wraith, quite like the way it turned out. what do people think? |

Well thought it was time for another update, got an airbrush set for my birthday so thought i'd have a little play. Certainly not sure about colour but was only playing and it was all I had laying around. but made some little rear quater grills out of part of a microwave meal packet. also reverted back to the plastic panels. and made up some battery covers under the bonnet out of styrene. |

Nice work, not so sure i like the color either though. I do like the scale mesh cover things you put on the back, very nice touch. I think i liked the aluminum panels better, but that's just cuz i like run into stuff a lot |
