Default Fink's Wraith

Wraith just arrived yesterday and my other parts should be in early next week. I will be updating this thread as often as possible to chronicle the build.

My goal for the Wraith is for it to be a very capable crawler, but also able to bash/rock race when I feel like it. I typically take it very easy on my trucks but I obviously do have the need for speed occasionally.

I normally run on wooded trails with a lot of water and mud so I wanted to stick with a simple brushed setup and of course everything will be water-resistant. I like the simplicity of brushed and quite honestly, I'm confident enough in my knowledge of brushless to go with it yet. I also love Holmes Hobbies' motors and wanted to stick with them as I have had great luck with the TorqueMaster Pro in my SCX10.

Onto the good stuff...

-2.2 R35 Ripsaws
-2.2 Axial VWS Beadlock Wheels
-BGR Fabrications' BGR Trailbar w/D-Ring & Winch Mount

Once I get the parts in and the truck unboxed, I'll start posting some pics!

Cheers!

Fink

No kidding! I just couldn't pass up the VP stuff. Too good looking. The Stage I Kit was actually a great deal, same price as the Axial stuff. The other stuff...well...I knowingly dropped some coin on it.

Thanks, T! I appreciate it. This is my first step into the Wraith world. From what I can tell already, I'm going to love it!

Worked from home today and finally had the chance to at least get the Wraith unboxed. Yes, it's a standard Wraith, but I'm excited...

Haven't gotten my stuff from Vanquish yet, but I am definitely looking forward to it. USPS never showed.

That just means I have three deliveries on Monday and two on Tuesday. Then it's just picking a battery and maybe a spare servo from HobbyPartz.

Thanks for the post!

Thanks!

I haven't run Holmes' TrailMaster in the Wraith yet, but yes, more torque and control. Just an entirely different class than the stock 20t.

Once I get it installed in the Wraith and give it a test, I'll be sure to let everybody know how it does.

Today was a big day for deliveries. Can't wait to see what my girlfriend says when I carry all this into our condo...

Axle housings and a few other little things should be here tomorrow and tires and wheels on Wednesday or Thursday.

Will be ordering my batteries as soon as they are back in stock and I should be set!

They're a new hybrid between 48P and fat fingers.

Well after looking at picture after picture and speaking with Bill, owner of BGR Fabrications & Welding, I pulled the trigger on his BGR Trailbar w/D-Ring & Winch Mounts and his NEW Aluminum Rear Shock Tower.

Thanks again, Bill!

Been saving for a while now! The Wraith was literally the cheapest part of this whole thing. I haven't had the courage to add it all up...
