It's addictive. This is my first build and I'm having more fun wrenching on this than a 1:1 vehicle. Don't have a hydraulic car lift? Just flip the car over with one hand and go to work. Much easier lol.

I mounted the tires and put the shocks on. Looks awesome now. A ton of flex with the King shocks and I love how beefy the tires look. I just wish the tires weren't so damn shiny lol.

A year from now you'll wish the whole thing looked as good as when it was new.. Trust me.

I'm not a fan of the Iroks.. But those rims are so full of awesome it's hard not to stare at it. I can't wait to see this thing in person. You've really put together a hell of a rig.

Oh I know hahahha, I think I'm going to make some aluminum differential skid plates so I don't have a complete nervous breakdown once I really bounce it off a couple rocks lol. Thanks for the compliment too, I hope it performs like it should too.



I'm still looking at the electronics and where I have them. I like everything up front but its rather crammed for space and by the looks of the heat sink on the BRXL it probably gets warm. Ill have to give it more thought on where I want everything before I start soldering wires.

It's mostly wiring and clean-up work now. I still have to put my skins on when those get here. I bought another set of body panels for the second skin Krawler Konceptz will be making.

Unless you're going to have a passenger, you could put the esc on the floor on the passenger side... Wouldn't be as hidden there though.

I just have mine mounted to a piece of lexan where the stock battery location is in the rear.. It's right up behind the seats.. I pretty much only run 3s and don't think the heat sink has ever gotten much above ambient temps. Even if you button it right up as long as it's not in a tiny box with no air space I can't see it overheating.

It officially moves under its own power!
3S and 35T with 56/12 32P gearing and it picks the front end up off the ground from a dead stop. Plenty of power lol. Harley was dead on with that gear combo, absolutely perfect.

Still have to fine tune everything. Throttle is touchy lol.

Let's see how fast I can twist driveshafts now.

I'm working on an idea for a full width axle skid plate made from aluminum. I made this and I should be able to mount it with the two unused holes in the bottom of the axle where the small set screws go. Ill clean it up more and see how it works and looks mounted. This may save the Vanquish axles from rock rash.

Your axle skid looks really nice. You might lose a little clearance by the diff pumpkin but it would let you slide on the axles and have zero worries.

Today the mailman dropped off my Freq-E-Skins skin I had made. From the beginning I was stuck on the RedBull idea, since I wasn't trying to replicate anything I had some creative freedom with it. Ill have a Krawler Konceptz inside skin that will be more detailed along the same theme. One skin for looks and one I won't be worried about damage as much.

The skin went on fairly easy, I took about an hour to do it. A couple spots I screwed up a little but nothing really noticeable.

Ill give you one crappy iPhone shot as a teaser, I still have more finishing up to do before I do a more proper shoot with my camera.

I don't blame you for trying to protect those axles... I was bad enough with my bone stock plastic axles when mine was new.. I think I would cry hearing that VP aluminum drag across a jagged rock...

Dont know if you noticed that If you flip your difs around you can run your dif covers right side up. Loving the build btw, top quality.

Ok, here is a few shots I took today. It wasn't very warm out and I had to work all night so I didn't do much for outdoor activity. This was its first official run outside…ever. There was still quite a bit of frost on the grass so I didn't want to risk getting the electronics wet in its first 5 minutes of use.

I am surprised how fast it is. Nothing super fast, but it moves quite well. The first 10 feet on flat pavement I managed to put it on its roof - too much speed and too quick of a turn lol.

I stacked some scrap wood in the basement and I am quite pleased with how well it crawls. It sits high, which is fine with me since I'm sure I'll be doing some trail riding too.

I still have more work to do to it, I have to mount my ProLine scale batteries and Dinky fuel cell in the rear and figure out what I want for Mad Dog RC light bars. I've given up on the Exo light bar since it takes 18V to run with the Axial 5 LED string and it won't be as bright as a Mad Dog RC light bar. I'll most likely add his rock lights and a front light bar and a rear rock light too. I'm trying to come up with a way to make a switch panel that will directly power the lights from the 3S LiPo and be able to switch each light bar on and off.

Shots are nothing special, just driveway/garage shots haha. Its tricky getting used to shooting something on this scale, I'm used to shooting 1:1 vehicles.
