| Project Ninja- KOH IFS Wraith
I was inspired to do this build after I saw JIA's build so at first I turned to him to build mine. Just after I ordered my Exo Terra Kit, my 1:1 had to go into the garage to get fix which made short of the $250 needed to pay JIA for the build so I have to do it myself with alittle help from the guys over at Pinnacle Hobby here in Toronto Canada... Parts List so far: Exo Terra Kit Exo Terra Front CV Kit Wraith Cage RC4WD AX2 2 Speed Transmission RC4WD Aluminum Centered Axle RC4WD Aluminum Shock/Link Mount Ballistics Fab Diff Cover Gmade Wraith Drive Shafts Blue Monkey R/C Delrin Suspension Links and Revo Rod Ends Traxxas VXL 3S and 3300kv BL Waterproof ESC and Motor Savox 1256TG to be Plasti Dipped ALOT of screws! More to come! Last edited by XterraTrax; 02-11-2013 at 12:32 PM. |

So I have already gotten started on the project so this is what I have so far done (which is quite a bit) I got all my stuff from Pinnacle Hobby tonight and ordered all the screws for the cage...there are 50+! Love the box art BTW! Smells like good old Axial Factory Plastic mixing with factory air! Found an Assault Rifle in the parts tree! Even though I am not using the tires...I have to point out how realistic they are! All the plastics that complies the cage! Awesome Diff Cover reminds me of the one on the 1:1! |

I got the front end almost wrapped up but then I was missing 10 screws so gotta run to the LHS to get some tomorrow. Also got some concerns... For here is some pics.... My set up: Keeping open diff in the front to see how that goes might lock it. Heres how it looks assembled... Diff Case put together with alot of Marine Grease! Front End Done... One of my concerns is that the set screw holding the Pins is stressing the plastic...going to strengthen that with CA This set screw doesn't hold the suspension pin in very well...also the plastics very soft so I don't want to strip the hole... |

Got more stuff from Pinnacle Hobby yesterday and I had sometime to do more stuff today so here it is! First up is I got a servo for the beast which is a Savox 1256TG that I will be Plasti Dipping. Also got the Front CVs, Lockers for the Wraith and 50+ Screws CVs all assembled and coated with Marine Grease... The screws the kit provides for the steering rack as you can see so I switched them for some longer ones. (Short one are left and new one are right) The front is all done and this is all I am using out of the Exo Terra. Only other thing I am taking is part of the cage. Wraith Cage almost fully assembled...putting the halfs together... Cage assembled and place on the Exo Terra. This is the ROUGH location of it and obviously I need to cut the Exo Terra chassis. I think its going to be awesome! |

Loving this. You should look into BGR Fabrications' KOH Sport Roofcage - would look badass on there. Fink |

Project overkill? Is this going to have 4 motors, dual transmissions, dual receivers and a stretched chassis? Lol

I started this and sold it a couple months ago... The Wraith cage will line right up to the EXO belly pan holes if you cut the lower cage off. It will give it a lower profile as you can see if you like that. I had alot of idea's on this build but got too many stacked up on other Wraiths I have so I sold this one. Nick |

Ok so I have been quite busy lately and I have been waiting for parts. First off, I got my 2 speed which came in this awesome little box... Sooo finally here it is! Merry Christmas to Me! I also got some progress done on the project itself and currently the whole thing is off to get the chassis cut and milled. I assembled the RC4WD Centered Rear Axle...great quality BTW... I also used Axial's HD gear set in the rear.... Used this to pack the axle tubes with marine grease...quite messy method though The guts all installed and slathered with Marine Grease.... Links all attached and figure out for that matter....lol |
