Im running 2s lipo. If i went to a 35t motor and got a 3s lipo. Would that keep my speed and torque? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 1.9 scx10 dingo Traxxas summit Traxxas slash Ecx torment |
I use a brxl esc and a hand wound 35t on 3s with stock axial scx axles and I enjoy it for crawling and it's ok on the speed side. It has great wheel speed when you need it. |

In one rig I run a Holmes Hobbies 14t Puller on 6s... enough torque to break bones and more speed than I need. I also just started running a Tekin Pro4 4000kv with a 2 speed trans in another rig that used to have a 14t Puller... it's a great motor too but more expensive. |
Re: Whats best gear ratio for crawling? I run a HH 35T TorqueMaster Expert right now with the Axial AE-2 and 2S 5000mah lipo. It crawls good and has plenty of speed for me. I plan on trying the HH TorqueMaster Pro 55T I just bought used. It was a great deal and it should crawl much better I hope. I have it installed and it slowed the Wraith down big time from the 35T. Which is fine until I get too bored..lol. I soon will have 2 Wraiths to play with anyway. :) |
17.5t brushless, 6:1 spur/pinion, 4S makes for a really fast truck that crawls quite well! "thumbsup" |
I had forgotten about this thread. Still haven't gotten a new motor or lipo. Still runnin stock27 turn. With 2s 5000 lipo. But I started tearing truck apart for full rebuild. Since it will be a comp crawler. Maybe a 55t or 35t on 3s lipo |
