Looks kickass!
We should be getting together on Sunday @ the indoor course in L town.
I will pm you my #, I will be free all weekend.
Unfortunately my servo is dead & $ is too tight to do anything about it.
Do you still have your stock servo?

I think my rig is too heavy & voltage too high for the stock servo (I have ate up 3 so far.)
I may just roll up there to meet up with all of you.

Update time!

I finally was able to get to the post office to pick up my new bumpers and rock sliders I had custom made from BGR Fabrications. I hope my wench comes in the mail soon to fill in the empty spot in the front bumper.

Couldn't drive it much because the front drive shaft is broke but it drove pretty good considering broken parts. The snow is all melted now so I have to wait until I go snowboarding, I'll be taking it to Mt. Hood.

So, I got a little bored this week...its been slow at work. I have to stop for now since I ran out of stainless steel and aluminum for the roof and from hood clip/grill. Weights in at 8.4lbs now :-(

Nice build,Looks great, after looking through this thread I was wondering how heavy it would be. After flying micro airplanes every ounce makes a big difference in performance.

Great looking rig! Good to see I am not the only one with an ever changing look. Every time I get bored or curious I dive in. My Wraith is my canvas. I can make you a couple 5 points like mine if you want I have black & silver & gold.

Yeah I as well passed the 8# mark. For crawling (with a slow a$$ 55T motor)I am happy with the weight distribution so being heavy does not seem to be an issue. That dinky mount & beef tubes helped put the weight low & front biased, I am going to trim back the front wheel weights a bit.

Black, silver and gold what for 5 points? I need to run and tune it for all this new weight. 8+lbs does seem heavy but when I convert the whole chassis to metal I'm sure it will be about the same as my bowling ball lol. My motor alone is a full 1lb

I still need to order some beef tubes, its on my list of things to get on payday. I forget what the dinky mount is, I'll have to look it up again.

I want to drop it down lower but the chassis mount servo seems to limit my suspension travel quite a bit. I only get about 1.5" of travel in the front.

The dinky s mount is an axle mount for your steering servo made of steel.
You driver could use a 5 point harness. I made mine & have 3 colors on hand for the straps gold, silver (like mine.) & black. Dinky also limits suspension travel a bit but is way stronger & easier on the servo than the CMS/Panhard. I finally decided no panhard for me.

I've been contemplating a set of 5 point's just wasn't sure how to make them with out a sewing machine and sewing skill lol. I don't remember what yours looks like. You want to make me a set? :p

I'm going to stick with my Panhard/CMS for a little while longer. Well see if it stays when I build a metal chassis. I want the look and scale points for now until I can make them up elsewhere.

Look at the pic I posted in the Albany Area post. My driver is strapped in with my 5 point creation (& a screw up the butt.)
Sure I can make you some, we can talk & show Sunday it sounds like.
