I'm speachless. This thing is just soooo cool, and such attention to scale detail so far, I love this build! It's making me think of redesigning my Wraith!

Keep us updated buddy!

Subscribed for the hydraulic steering.. looks like it will be incredibly awesome, or super finiky and never work right for more than 2 minutes. My kind of project!!! Love it!

It must be a well working steering system. These kits are proven a thousand times in trucks, excavators, loading cranes, dump trucks, wheel loaders, etc. They usually working without fail.

this is coming out great. the new wheels look alot nicer on it over the walkers.

the hydro is putting this over the top. it looks close but is there any chance that the rod ends on the shafts of the shock and ram can be swaped. so the ram does not have to be perfectly level throught its cycle in and out.

I did it already, but not taken a picture yet.

Little changes been done. Put the aluminum skid on, made a mount for the steering cylinder, cut the cockpit rear section which will hide all the hydraulik stuff such as motor, tank, control block and electronics.

Changed the rod end of the cylinder to a RC4WD shock end.

The cylinder mounts directly to the 4-link bracket. The position of the 4-link bracket is just perfect for mounting the cylinder. I used RC4WD scale screws.

I did a quick mockup with tires to have a better imagination about the size of the cylinder. Going to make a test run of the hydraulic system this week hopefully. The hydraulic hose to the cylinder will be a smaller one later than this on the picture.

Put everything together today and made a test-run. Steering works fine. Just need some fine adjusting of zero-point and a o-ring needs to be replaced. It is leaking at the tank from return hose. That is why hydro-fluid starts frothing. More to test in the field later when everything is ready to fix hydro-system into chassis. Another point, pump, motor and tank is getting very warm. I need to make a cood cooling system.

Here some quick pictures.

And here is the video Hydro-Lenkung.MOV - YouTube
Sound will change once it is built in. It is because it is laying on aluminum cross members.

You mean from turning the wheel on the sender to movement of the ram? Well it is a little delay in it because the micro servo turns the valve and then the ram gets impule to move. But it is okay as it is a slow model. Once you are used to it it is fine.

This is the first try to make a working hydro steering. Performance is as can be seen on the video but have not tested it off road yet. What I learned is, it is pretty fast.

Exactly. I bet it's strong though. Should sort out any weakness quick.
