Default Ar60 and VP 60's home made skids

Hey homies ! First off I know this isn't a wraith but the axles are the same type as those in a wraith. Well at least the center section is! I made these skids for my honcho that uses Vanqish housing. Since they are the same as the Wraith center sections so I thought I'd post these here. I made these to protect that fresh aluminum and to keep from hanging up on the ARB diff covers. Any way check em out!

I started by cutting a strip of metal about 6.5 mm x 90 mm. I cut that into 4 pieces with angles close to 45* on the bottom edges with a 1/8 hole drilled into the top. They didn't have to be perfect because once I screwed them all on I just put the housing with tabs on a table belt sander and flushed them with the bottom of the case.

Then I took a piece of metal cut as wide as the four tabs mounted and with a 45* bend and tacked it to the pieces that I had made.

Then I took it off and finished welding, cleaning and painting it.
I also put a bend on the driveshaft side of the diff.

Here are a few finished result pics!

Nice wraith, love the wheels and rotors, skins, etc... . The sliders look like some aluminum ones that I bought off eBay some time back. I liked them but they only covered the very bottom of the diff and not the 8mm on each side of the very bottom. But still I think in stainless like you have made would be a lot better than the aluminum for sliding on da rocks. Good job!
