| Bigfoot 18 Wraith
Hey guys wanted to share my Bigfoot 18 tube chassis using Axial Wraith axles and transmission. John Boyer made the chassis and a friend of mine made the body...After I got everything together I sent it out to Mr. Boyer, it was a loooooong 6 months after that but it was well worth it. I can adjust the shock mounts up or down so I can use any 100-120mm shock, and he made sum very nice custom shock/link mounts. Here are a few pics of how it looked when Boyer was done.... |

I have since made a few changes...picked up a Viper VX4 3900 system to use and changed the gears to 32p gears and a 12t pinion and 60t spur...I realized I wanted a little bit more speed so I changed the gearing agin recently to 17t pinion and 54t spur..the difference is night and day, much better performance...I also changed the wheels and tires..the RC4WD beadlocks where too heavy and the Wraith stub axles were too short and I couldnt thread the wheel nut on enough to keep it secure so I picked up sum TXT wheels and added the ZRP wheel mode to make the TXT wheel look more realistic..I am ordering Proline Powerstroke shocks to replace the HPI shocks (way too stiff)..Here are a few pics as it sits now... motor and electronics... wheel mod... How it sits now... Here are a few vids I took of the truck in action... Thanks for the compliments guys! The body is an HPI 1/12 desert truck body that he cut up and glued to match Bigfoot 18..I have the all blue body coming soon too I love the way he did the lower shock/link mounts too..He built it so I could actually run it...Very easy take down too... Im looking at sum of the Vanquish products for upgrades...lots of nice stuff there.. | ||

Cool old school monster truck, but I'd try to mount the battery lower or at least on it's side to help with CG.

Hey Gavyn, as you can see, I made my way over here as well. I really like the way that came out. Bigfoot series trucks will always be my favorites. |

WOW!!! Looks very scale. Any problems with flipping over due to the batt being up in the air? |

I think I might order the Vanquish Products steering setup...I dont like the "play" I have in the lower tie rod with the current setup...Is anyone running the VP steering?

Sweet! It wouldn't take much to make the track for that. A little dirt, a few old die cast cars and a hammer.
