| Extra wide wraith!! (Pics)
These wideners came on a rig a couple weeks ago and i tossed em in the tool box. While waiting for parts for this guy I decided to throw em on and kinda like em now. Just wondering what guys experience with em is as far as scrub steer. The servos have more than enough sack for even the heaviest supers so thats not a problem, although the little shafts in these defeat the purpose of VVDs front and rear lol. It wont be a comp rig or even make it out much so I probablly shouldnt even care, Onto the pics |

If your not worried about comping and exceeding a gate width, then I say HELL YEAH! that looks AWESOME!! the width in the front will definitely keep those mickeys out of your springs when steering is at full lock. |

| Re: Extra wide wraith!! (Pics) Just appearance wise ya think? Thanks guys, it grew on me pretty quick Ill probablly just rock it for awhile I tested it today and first off it definatly keeps the meats out. I cranked up the epa's and then it was the tierods maxing out to hitting the axle, so I put a couple of my vp ones, got a little more out of it and she will turn all sorts of sideways in crab mode haha. anyways thanks guys |

My biggest issue with wideners is the added stress on the stub axle and bearing maintenance it causes. A wraith can already destroy a set of bearings pretty quickly |

I know you have a strong servo but those wideners will really beat it up. Just think of the leverage on the wheel when you hit something. No servo saver and wideners is asking for trouble. Scrub has to be horrible. It will get hung up on the pumpkins and axle easier when crawling. and.... imho it looks retarded. lol If you want to combat rolling at speed, use swaybars. |

Lol yeah I took em off today. Actually got it on the rocks today and it drives so different and unpredictable I guess you could say. All it takes is a little trip out to see how much wideners suck. It wasn't a go fast wraith, I've got 5 of em and a spare chassis now lol. The others are to beat on lol. Thanks guys glad I got to try it out back in the box they go! Haha

I ordered a set of HR wideners under the impression that I could add width in in 5mm increments - all the way up to 30mm. I only wanted 5mm so I ordered them. When they showed up I found that the absolute MINIMUM width you can add is 15mm PER SIDE. I gave them away. |

You my friend have got me hooked on your ultra 4. I picked up two more new exo buggies for super cheap the other day and you have pressured me in to building one. Yours is amazing and I may hit ya up with a couple questions. It was a killer idea and I can't wait to give one a shot even though it may not quite be like yours lol | |
