I'm glad you guys revived this thread. Prompted me to order the dig unit. Been thinking on it, figured this was a sign... ![]() |

Thanks for the reply's guys.. ![]() Because my Wraith is built from spares I have the choice of finding a tranny, that's why I needed to understand a little better about 2 speed and DIG though both are very different its really to do with whether you crawl or Trails and Race, this particular truck is my own for crawling but will get a second one for hire at my circuit when its built.. So from my understanding the 2 speed is really for that extra speed that you want if on Trails and Racing but no good for slow rock crawling, DIG is 100% Rock crawling locking either 2 wheels or 4 and free wheeling, though most real Crawlers lock out only the rear Diffs when needed its hard to know what to really do but the DIG would definitely be worth getting later on if your a Crawler. So brushed motors like mine 45t or more would not need 2 speed but 20t and brushless would be better on 2 speed, as I said before know what you want to do Crawl or Race/Bash ( Hate the word Bash, seen far too many people bashing vehicles not meant for Bashing then complain they break ). Before I said 45t on 3s which was a mistake... should be 2s Anyone who has the DIG installed, are you actually using it ? Seen many videos without dig and crawling just fine.. ![]() Waffett is one of my favs : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZDO_...N-9U3c&index=9 Can someone recommend a Diff grease not too expensive ? Did you ever end up buying one ? I have a AX10 custom tuber and a bomber with 2 speed. The bomber is awesome for bush walking with the family as its quick enough to have fun but slow enough to do a bit of crawling. Bomber is running 3S 35T motor and stock gearing. I am looking at building another tuber as a dedicated crawler and that's why im researching Dig options. |

Time to revive this old thing. lol So the VP Dig works on the Wraith 3 gear tranny. Will it also work on the SSD High Ratio Tranny? Thankx. |

Pretty sure thats incorrect on both counts. VP DIG doesn't fit Wraith 2.2 or 1.9 trans. VP DIG only fits scx10 style trans case, if you have one of those & fit the VP DIG then that will fit Wraith as the trans mounting holes are same. VP DIG will def not fit SSD trans case, where DIG would fit is all ali case for longer rear output shaft. Same way VP DIG doesn't fit stock Wraith plastic trans.

Thanks for the clarifications altd. I didn't think it would fit the SSD Wraith High Ratio Tranny as it has that long output shaft and case around it. Was debating on trimming it all down, drilling a few mounting holes and seeing if it would fit. will likely go a different direction.
