Post First build.... Axial Wraith

Got my Wraith today and started my journey!

First action was to move the battery under the hood. Took about hour and a half or so. Next is hing the hood.

RTR, not sure what I'm doing?? LOL. I love the look of the Wraith, probably liked the idea that I can do a little of everything with it. Me and my son race dirt late modal RC's (1/8 nitro, 1/18 losi and 1/10 losi touring late)at a local track The Barn Raceway Home Page. I wanted something I can play right here at home. So, I'm a super newbie! Looking forward to building and customizing my wraith. Love the forum and the pictures that inspire me to build a realistic looking RC

You'll get bit by the addiction sooner or later. Your picture isn't working.

Any chance you'd be up for a GTG in Columbus @ Hoover? There's a decent group that meets and runs from time to time.

I'll have to check that out Devil Inc! Haven't figured out how to load pics yet??

Just got back from hobby store. Picked up a tra3727 to make hood pins, dean connectors and wire clamp( to make hood hinges)

It's a common mod for these, it's going to be one of the first ones I do when my chassis arrives.

COOLxxBREEZE, if you're on Facebook, we've got a group page for us Ohio guys. If you're interested we can get you added on there as well.

Have you figured out a direction of where you're wanting to have this rig end up as? Full on rock racer/trail basher (speed) or crawler (slow)?

Looking at lowering it, not sure if level3 will let me keep my stock shocks?? I like crawling....but also like speed and hill climbing. Time will tell!

Got some aluminum paint and plan on painting some chassis parts today. That will have to work till I can put real aluminum parts on.

Also plan to chop the back cage down and give it a more jeep/buggy look
