I went with the 93mm Gmade XD piggybacks. I like them quite a bit.

Wraith lost in the mix

@hooty481

Yeah, Boom racing piggybacks.

As an added note, 120mm is about the max for stock mounts, IMHO.

I think with a lowering kit 130mm would be acceptable.

Anymore shock length in either scenario would create more drivetrain bind than I would want.

Are the boom racing about the same as hot racing or integy?

I was thinking about running these https://store.rc4wd.com/Killer-Krawl...ck_p_2174.html

http://www.beadlok.com/product/image...00DSC_0499.jpg

Just wonder how they would look and if they would fit. They measure 120mm hole to hole.

120 hole to hole should be perfect. I was really dissappointed when searching as no one typically lists compressed and extended length. That's all you need to figure the travel and if it will bind at extension.

I am new to RC, so I haven't tried the other shocks you mentioned. I just based my purchase on my experience with full size trucks.

I have been happy with the Boom shocks (2weeks or so). I installed a lowering kit and decided that was counter productive for crawling. I just lost lots of clearance. I prefer the stock mount locations with the rear flipped.

The Boom shocks are a dual rate, but I have just been running the big coils alone. I adjust the ring to just barely keep the coil retail seated at full droop. Works well to keep ride height low and maximum travel.

The reservoirs do fill with fluid, but have no piston/valve in them like real reservoir shocks. So, they are functional in the sense that they hold more oil, but not really any dampening benefits that I see.

I've been liking the Irok tires so far. They improved performance right away! I've rounded the corners off them for sure, though. Im already on my second rotation. They are SOFT!

The compound is great for crawling. The sidewall pattern is Awesome at gripping. They seem to have softened up quite a bit and fold under themselves occasionally. After sitting overnight under vehicle weight, they develop flat spots which take a little driving to smooth out. Maybe new foams? But, I wouldn't expect these to balance, kinda lumpy ride at speed.

If you want this compound to last, you can't burn them out against the rocks too much. I've let a few too many inexperienced drivers operate my wraith. Driving on concrete, especially at speed, is not recommended. Don't get me wrong, still plenty of tread left, even with the abuse. But, they were even grippier when new. I want to try the TSL Swampers.

I think I want more weighting. I just wrapped the front in solder.

I only received one pair of integy 138mm shocks in the mail.. so I only got the rear on and my drop kit is being painted.. so soon ill have pics of it done. Quick question.. are the 138mm integy shocks already oiled? I would think because they came assembled new.. but not sure.

My shocks came dry. I would assume most ship dry to avoid leaks due to pressure changes in shipping?

Doesn't hurt to unscrew carefully and check.

Post pics!!!

I'd be curious to hear how you like them. I may order a set for a bastardized Wraith/Ridgecrest or Wraith/EXO build I want to do. Thanks
