Default wraith carnage

I got my wraith about 4 months ago and cant stop building and adding to it, my wife thinks im a freak. I have viewed many pics of other wraith rigs and have gotten so many ideas but i try not to copy people because its better when its original.
I am manly a basher but the wraith has turned me into a crawler. so i guess im more of a crasher
1 topic i would like to comment on is it seems like everyone moves their battery to the front, makes sense more wieght in the front. Then they pop the hood. what i cant understand is why does every body open their hood forwards....why not ry reverse or sideways, makes it alot easier to install and remove your battery.

I actually remove my hood completely. All the hinges and magnet setups are gonna get trampled when flipping down a mountain or trail. I have industrial velcro on the front and rear of my hood which allows me to pop it up to the front or rear. I think most like the scale look of the hinges and the hood opening that way though to answer your question plus id be scared of hitting one of the light wires in the front eventually with turning the hood grill inwards one time and having to break out the soldering kit. Yes the battery is moved for weight purposes, but its not all about weight in the front it must be distributed across the whole truck when you get real technical

My hood hinges on a pair of zip ties and flips all the way up, there is no problem getting the battery in our out.

From what I've seen most hinged hoods look like shit. I may pin my hood to keep it snugged down where it was meant to go

I used 1/4" electrical cable clamps for hinges, the hood swings up 90* to the chassis so its easy to get at the battery

I tried making hinges and hated it. Now I have hood pins in the front and magnets in the back, where the 4 screws originally were.

I just use 4 body clips then the bonnet (Hood) can be removed totally.

Im running a dinky hood but i cant see why a stock hood would be much different?? Mine doesnt look hack and it gets out of the way for battery swaps
