Yea. I tend to over do it on bracing. :ror:
My MIG welding needs some refining too. I'm gettin' there.

These axles came off my wraith Monster Truck. It can work you just have to slow down a touch to whip it around. I doubt it will get used much in the race. But I am pretty quick to hit that rear steer button and whip it around in a tight corner.

Thanks. It's nothing fancy and I am just building it to drive the heck out of it in a few weekends.

Those are Eritex Rockers. Discontinued and that dude is long gone.

Got the front end boxed in and mounts for hood and roof. http://img.tapatalk.com/d/13/02/06/va9adeve.jpg

Thanks. I am no fabricator by any means. Just looking forward to getting this going and having some fun. "thumbsup"

Only thing I am lacking is a longer transmission output and swapping out one of the diffs for a locker.

The servo mounts are great. Just note there is a front and rear version. Only thing that I don't like is the upper link mount holes are like 4mm size and the 3mm screw/nut can come loose.

I drove this for 2 minutes in the rain right at dark. whoa  handles good, tons of power and jumps flat. Might try for a short video soon just need to finish up the side panel mounts and figure out something for the rear.

Thanks. Ran it today and pulled a 2nd place finish in the Wraith class Terra-X

Added the Dinky R/C fuel cell yesterday.

Won Carter Fab Wraith panel set and a Crawler Innovations Wraith Battery Tray. Thanks Clay and Eddie "thumbsup"

Spun the rear locker on one side with a half a lap to go. and then busted a revo rod end jumping off the skate ramp afterwards.

4WS came in quite handy for the Terra-X race. I forgot to set my ESC to crawler mode before the race.

Probably a video coming in the near future.

Terra-X racing is a blast. Race was about 5-6 minutes long.

Truck is just under 8lbs RTR. Using a 3300mah 3S lipo

Simple rules. Try to keep off the track (rope staked to ground) and marshal ypur own truck. If you get bound up with another truck pull yours off and place it just behind or ahead of the other truck.

Re: Szczerba's Terra-X Build

do you guys set up a transponder system to determine winner? is it won by first to cross the finish line after X number of laps, or most laps in the alotted time?

ROLANDROCKSHOP 02-24-2013 03:46 PM

Re: Szczerba's Terra-X Build

land rush start..
5 laps or how ever long or short you want the race..
1st to cross finish wins..

if you roll over, you can flip yourself over, but if someone is directly behind you,you must place your rig behind them..

example...im flipped over and shane and ross are right behind me going thru a bottleneck obstacle..id have to repo behind ross.

if your vehicle goes out of bounds you must re-enter where you went out.
out of bounds is all 4 wheels.

dont stand on track..if you have to cross it do so quickly

And above all else Have fun!
