I've had a few of those in the past and have 1 on a current project rig. They are a good servo, just a bit pricey. I'd add a BEC anyways and get the full power capability the servo offers. It's only $20 and there will be a noticeable difference in the servo power once installed.

If your running plastic steering links then I don't see why even run a hi powered servo? The stock links bend so much so it don't make much sense

As to the comment concerning bending factory links. I burned out the factory servo and servo horn. I have yet to break the factory links. Why would I fix it with the same dumpy part? Run it until it breaks and then upgrade with good stuff. That is only logical. | |

| Re: Servos, what are you running? LOL, it helps me a lot more than no servo, and the hi-tec is way too expensive. Also, in one of the threads on here, it was advised to put anything 300 oz or better for the 5" tires. Listen, this RC car is nothing but a toy to me. I don't need it to be the best possible crawling machine possible. I would rather spend the 30 dollars I saved on a couple boxes of 9mm to run through my RR Vector UZI SMG. I'll get metal links one day. I might even try the Integy set. It would crack me up if they work just fine with no issues (which is what I am suspecting after talking to the people who work at my local hobby shop and my cousin who has done RC for 20 years) In the mean time, I won't have to buy a servo again because I got a quality one which is decently powered for a reasonable price.

It's not just about the $30 difference, it's about the toque, quality and customer service. No doubt you got a decent servo, but for a small amount more you could have had the best. The JR will suit you fine until you stip one of the gears. And a gear set is between $30-40 to replace. I could get a shit load of 9mm's for $30 since I pour my own bullets and it only costs me 2.5 cents a round to reload them. lol |

The HighTec is a high voltage servo. I set my CC BEC to 7.4v, so yeah for $30 I got 116oz more torque. But hey you got a servo and a decent one at that so now go tear up some rocks with your Wraith.

What savox did you burn up. 1230 savox is 500 at 6 volts and about 50 dollars cheaper then 7950. |
