| Wraith of Afghanistan
So I decided to buy a wraith kit since I'm deployed to Afghanistan right now. It started off simple but has gotten a lot of ideas thrown at it. STRC knuckles, chubs, lockouts, steering RR tranny gears Cheap two channel radio HH br-xl with 16t TM Hitec 7955tg CC Bec Mojave light kit Pro line roof rack and pioneer kit Dinky rc truck bed 5000 2s lipo 87/20 gear Can you guess who this guy is? |

Thank you for your service. Wraith is looking good. Do you have access to much *safe* terrain to play around on over there? |

Mined areas are more exciting! Can't see the pics but sounds good. Junction City, would that be Fort Riley home of the Big Red 1? I worked on Custer Hill in the '70s. Thanks for stepping up to the plate. Keep you and your Wraith safe! |

Thanks for your service brother. I tried to enlist three times. It just wasn't meant to be... All of my uncles and most of my cousins served, and my father was a lifer. I spent my childhood all over the country and in Germany a couple of times during my fathers service (I was in Germany when the wall fell). He was a medivac pilot. He flew UH1's mostly. Can't wait to see your pics. If you email them to me, I'll host them for you. brian at axialcrawler dot com. Last edited by TheScaleAddict; 02-22-2013 at 08:22 AM. |

Does the post office still do that deal with flat rate boxes over to y'all? I have some tires I could send you (pictured below). I know they did when my brother in law did his last tour a couple of years ago. That poor boy got some crazy care packages from my wife. She packed those things soooo tight.... LOL There are more pictures of the tires here. Anyone else wanting to pitch in can send me what you want to send me what you want to give him for his Wraith, and I'll pack it up with my tires/foams. Email me at brian at axialcrawler dot com if you do. |

I just talked with Clay from Carter Fab & Machine (Carter Fab & Machine). He's going to pitch in with some aluminum panels! Mr. Elijah Lance, you're getting the hook up! "I'll send him a set of standard sides, rear tray, half roof, rear inner fenders, and front ultimate inner fenders." ~ Clay Last edited by TheScaleAddict; 02-22-2013 at 11:16 AM. |

How sweet is that, you're really getting hooked up. I know it wasn't intentional on your part, makes it all that much better. I have a lot of respect for the vendors that are sending you this stuff. Very cool to see. Wish I had something to send, but the crap I've got laying around wouldn't do any RC any good really. I look forward to some pictures after the upgrades. |

One more in the mix... Bill from BGR Fabrication is going to 'kick down' some sliders and a stinger for the front. I should have everything next week. II'll pack it all up and send it out to you just as soon as I have it. Stay safe out there, and look out for your brothers by going the extra mile. Your work is vital, and appreciated.

You're welcome. Now you just need to get all of your buddies into it. Addictions are always more fun if you share them. |
