| RR Metal Gears and Dig
I searched and also have read through all Harley's Wraith guides several times but I just cant find the info that I need.... Im in the process of building my first Wraith kit and Im gonna go ahead and replace some of the parts that I know are gonna break pretty quick (Ex. Tranny gears, Shocks, Links, the usuals). I want to run a dig on this rig because its just something Ive never tried. Ive had 4ws on an AX10 but I just wasnt a big fan... anyways.... If I use Robinson Racing Diff gear part #1555. Will I still be able to use dig??? Ive got a guy telling me I wont be able to because of the output shaft being too thick??? but cant find any info to back that up but it looks like it should work fine to me. I dont plan on running any huge power Im going with a 13T Crawlmaster and BRXL... Ive just never had any luck with the stock trans gears.

No, you need the #1552 gear to use the Axial dig. It has the larger hole for the required bearing to fit into.

Also, watch your rear axle pinion bearings if you like to do mid to high speed e-brake skids. You'll wreck them in no time

This thread has pictures of the internals of the Axial Dig kit. Updated:AX30793 Dig upgrade shipped. -- Turning Radius Measurements Posted. From the pictures you will be able to see why you can't use the one piece gear/outputs. |
