Default Loud coming from??

Took the wraith out and its loud, Sounds from the tranny. Ive got RR internals with a Pro4 with 12t 32p Mips. My buddy has the same setup in his. Quite.... I have torn this thing down twice, and I cannot figue it out....

Then the guy at the LHS said maybe the diffs?? I have axial universals with vanquish lockers and the Axial HD 43/13 in the rear.
I just ordered a Fast eddys bearing kit since I have it open...Anybody else have a loud drive train and found something?????

I am getting some squeaking and I think it's from a pinion bearing in the front end. Everything else seems quiet.

Is your pinion set screw hitting the spur? Or is it a constant noise?

Using a good quality tacky grease? Swap all your bearings out for Fast Eddy for sure, sloppy/shot bearings will either make noise on their own or cause gear misalignment and therefore gear noise. As you assemble each gearbox (trans, diffs) spin em by hand and feel for roughness. If they all feel good spin em by chucking the input/pinion shafts up in a cordless drill and spin em (avoid too high of speed to keep from slinging all your grease off, if the gear box is noisy it generally should be so at lower speeds too) and if everything is quiet but the truck is still noisy when assembled and running it's probably the motor pinion/spur gear(s) that are noisy

EDIT: K9popo beat me to some of that

Well Im running the marine grease that I have used in all my other trucks. I too thought the pinion mesh. It had a lil wear so I bought a new pinion and spur, just in case. At the moment I have it all torn down, waiting on bearings right now.

Thanks for all the input. I will deff try the drill meathod to test out.

it just sucks having to be in the back of the pack when you have the loud truck.... yeah I was that guy this last weekend....lol
