Hmmmm. Maybe you got a special set. Mine are tighter than they were. Of course, it took shoe goo to make them tight. If you want good housings, you should get GCM Racing housings. They make the VP housings look like integy. VP chubs and knuckles are great. It's just the housings that need some work...

Whoa... I'm stopping Cephas here and now. I agreed with you before in another thread about this. But not any more. VP isn't supposed to be sloppy. Something is out of spec. VP was REAL good to me and I don't have this problem any more. |

| Re: Dmg koh #7 Stopping me? LOL Okay. VP is a great company. I love their product. But their housings are sloppy. So, out of their entire product line, they have a dud. It's a good track record. I sent Steve a couple of emails on the issue, but I never heard back from him. I fixed the slop on my VP axle set with Shoe Goo. They're better now. But I haven't run them much since the 'fix'. The GCM Racing housings, built with VP cHubs and VP Knuckles, are super solid/tight. VP's housings should be as tight as the GCM's are, but they aren't. It's as if VP produced the housings to work with other aftermarket cHubs. Granted, I am speculating... for the money I spent on my VP's (I have just shy of $600 in mine), I would expect that the housings would be produced to fit tightly with the cHubs. My assumption is that the reason they don't is so that you can use them with STRC, Stock, Golden Horizions, etc. Whatever the reason, for me personally, it's unacceptable. The GCM housings are the best on the market. That's all there is to it. But that doesn't mean I hate VP. My GCM's are rocking VP cHubs and Knuckles. |

Wasn't meant to be a hijacking. I've been PM'ing with Savagebeast about this. |

I'm liking your fuel cell. Did you make it from a Radio Shack project box?

I dig the chassis! I saw a few weeks back when I was over at the DMG. The stubby rear end has a cool look compared to my much longer version. I still have to get my Curries under the Jimmy's rig, I always think that I should have gone with the Black after seeing them under these rigs! That gray is just hard for me to look away from though! With the C-hubs attached with the screws I have never noticed any sort of negative effects due to fit. | |

Yeah the rear end is pretty short, I plan on mostly hill climbs and bouncer style driving with this rig so the rear is perfect. Sent from my SGH-T889 using Tapatalk 2 |

Got the syspention limiting straps done and put on today, they're a must, the setup in this has pulled the shock piston off the shaft from torque twisting. Freekin nasty, mmp 3300kv pro 4. Love it Sent from my SGH-T889 using Tapatalk 2 |

Can you post a top down picture of your limiting strap?

I will post some more pics when I get home, I work 2nd shift, harley, the shox are cheap doual spring units off asiatees.com, like 16 bucks for 2, and I bought 2 sets of proline power stroke shock tuning kits. You won't be able to see much from an above shot, I will post a good few more angles though Sent from my SGH-T889 using Tapatalk 2 |
