Default Shock setup

I am building my wraith for trails and crawling only. Should I run one hole pistons or 3 hole pistons?

3 hole pistons are the softest right?

Yes, I generally run a softer front then the rear and run a one hole on the left rear to help with torque twist but thats me... I also run internal and external springs...

You can also drill out the holes to make them softer...Its all personal preference and find what works for you and your driving style, cause everyone is different and everyone is going to have an opinion...

I think I got it dialed in today. Took it out on its first trail run and it did great! It could be a little taller to get over some stuff but then I worry about it getting top heavy and rolling.

Mt slayer sits low and does pretty sang good .

I shoot for level ride height so I'm slightly stiffer in the front to compensate for the extra weight up front.

If you're looking to go "softer" or "stiffer" you need to be adjusting the spring rates. You can adjust this a little with preload spacers/collars, or by changing the springs all together. The only thing the shock piston does is control the oil's rate of transfer from one side to the other. You can fine tune this by changing the oil weight. Lower weight faster transfer & vice versa for higher weight.
