That may have been a once in a lifetime encounter... If only I had a back up battery!

Thanks. I really appreciate that. The tires are, like ToasterBox said, 2.2 RC4WD Rock Crushers. They have stock foams (that suck). I cut every other row of large lugs and every other opposing row of small lugs. They grip ten times better than stock rock crushers. Still... my Pit Bull Rock Beast II's grip ten times better than that set of RC's. I almost forgot... I also siped the large (center) lugs on the front tires (three cuts per lug, half the thickness of each lug). The difference was noticeable, but still not enough to get me to keep those tires on Fiona. I just wanted to try them out again.

Thanks brother. Likewise. You just need to trim you beard so we don't match. It's creepy... I would, but I've had mine longer, so I'm calling seniority.

It takes some stout axles to hold up a heavy girl like Fiona on jumps like that. GCM Racing is the shiznit! I need to call you sometime. I am short one 'Last Locker' for my Featherweight build, aka Danny Boy. I should have the set.... My son must have run off with it and burried it in the back yard. It wouldn't be the first time that happened... I need a metal detector.

I threw on some Moroworx Racing Hubs. They look GREAT! I also hooked up my Pro 4 (6mm output/17t 48p). That thing is a BEAST!

Now for the bad news. I've been having some issues with the front axle. It bound up a bit the other day. I was moving the wheels forward and backward to 'feel' what was going on. I wasn't putting a lot of pressure on it at all, when the four screws that hold the ring gear on the locker snapped. I wasn't sure what happened right at that moment, I just heard a light pop and then the front axle was free wheeling. I was all out of the VP lockers, so I couldn't replace the VP locker with a VP locker. I did, however, have a couple of grip fab lockers lying around. I went through everything on the axle, cleaned it, lubed the gears, replaced the bushings, and put it all back together. All seemed to be going well. However, about fifteen minutes into 'play time' I heard the front bind and slip. I can't say for sure, but my suspicion is that the housing may be damaged at the pinion bearing/bushing point/points. I have two brand new housings that I can use to measure and compare. It wouldn't take much to cause an issue... fractions of millimeters could be an issue... We'll see when I have time to dig into it again. I was pretty bummed. I didn't even have enough time to dial in the motor (configuration settings). At least I got some good 'air' video!!!

Are you ready for this??? Motoworx Racing just launched their new 2.2 SLW Hub 8-Spoke Wheels. They are bad to the bone!!!! They come in Triple Black($125), Black & Raw($115), and Triple Raw ($100). I went with the Triple Black. I know... shocker...

I'm just waiting on my Hubs to arrive from VP and Fiona will be on her first set of SLW's. Typical woman, she can never have enough shoes....

I'm thinking I may need to re-paint the old girl. She's looking a little rough.

Which ones? I still have two 'old' sets. The 10 Hole LE's and the 8 Spoke LE's.

I just packed them up. We're moving to our new house next week... If I decide to sell them when I dig them out, I'll let you know.
