Their isn't any lights mounted at this time. :/
It will be something I'm goin to be working on in the off season for the future. It will be mounted to the back of the front bumper, using CRAWLER-DAD lights, with the lights inside the bumper loops. (That was just mach up, then comp season took ahold of my time)

Couple changes. As my sons(8yrs old) wraith came 4ws, I traded off his servos for a 7950, an sold the VP cms's an pan hard kits. Just front wheel steer.

He is now rocking a Dinky S mount, like dad, and he now has a hitec 7955, cc bec, tekin RS an 13.5t redline with 32p 58/11 gearing. A little much? Maybe.. but he wasn't happy not bein able to do the hill climb, up the road, at the edge of the cemetery. (That starts our trip together)

I put the 7950 on mine and Finally got around to painting the rear dinky drop bed for mine. Hit it with rubberized bed liner first, then a coat of black. (It needs to get dirty!). After seeing it on my rig, I can tell he will Need one next.. lol..

I also started back on the H1 proline cut up body to go on mine. But that's a later update..

Small bits.. ruined another front gear set.. Awesome! So dropped in a stock set for now.
While I had it apart I pulled the vvd's for a fresh set of uni's. I modded them like the XR uni's.

I was thinkin maybe binding from full steering at hi speeds might have caused some gear issues?

I also got some new(to me) wheels.. when I pulled my lightened v1's apart, I found some rausch creek in the foams and tires..

After cleaning and remounting, I came up with this..

It hasn't been but a couple weeks and maybe 3 runs.. another front gear grinding. So since the vvd rebuild kits were half price, I decided it might just be time for some bearing caps as well..

Anywho.. back to Another R&P... its still just another stick gear, the axial HD gears showed up the next say or so, just didn't change it out..

So now I have HD gear for the front and bearing caps.. that should take care of my gear problem.. MAYBE!

see 2 of the 3 runs, were on 4s.. I run heavy equipment and our job site is a playground! So when I'm gearing down at the end of the day, I'm sloping ramps into dirt piles.. which range from 5 foot to 15 feet high.. nose dive at speed and it just doesn't take it to well, but its a BLAST!

Now for a question.. should I gear up for more speed or go pro4? Then, do o want the 4000kv one or 3300kv? Maybe go with 3300 and gear it for crawlin and trail on 3s and wicked speed on 4s.. cause I want to watch it fly and I want to work on it cause it broke while I was having fun .. any suggestions!? Thanks

BTW, I'll try and get pics off the "playground"..

How's that steering setup with the 7950 and the dinky mount holding up for you? I have the same and burned up my servo in 5min. I just got my servo back from hitec, so I'm a little nervous running it again. I think it was an electronic problem, but not totally sure, so I'm a little gun shy. I was also thinking the 7950 maybe a little weak for a big wraith, so I'm curious if you have any heat issues with yours?

I have found the HD gears to last pretty good on high voltage 5-6s but the will eventually give up. I run 2100 kV crawl with 3s and go fast on 5-6 motor is a turnigy 1/8 scale putts out 2650 watts on 5s.

I think the pro 3300 would be plenty fast on 4 is and still plenty smooth to crawl. I'm not a fan of stuff over 3300. Higher kV starts trading of heat for power and becomes less efficient

I'm not one that takes it easy.. the steering setup has been Awesome! I had planned on dumping a 7980 on it but, the 7950 has been perfect this far.

My wraith barely breaks 7lbs rtr. Lightened wheels and cut VP knuckle weights. So the 7950 has seemed to be plenty and without fail.

Don't be gun shy, you can always send a hitec back to be fixed..

First up is a power plant that I couldn't turn the price down on..

Can't wait to see how the drive train holds up now!

After seeing a couple builds done, I couldn't resist the look of this, so in came a new(to me) chassis..

And went to work.. (don't mind the dirt, I don't)
After taking some screws out and making a couple cuts to each side..

The top came off..

Then the interior and "cleaned" up my cuts..

Then lined it up for a look see..

Between work and lack of motivation at home, I haven't had much progress. Now that I got a few days off, is felt the urge to get busy. Well, since the wife wasn't having that, lol, I decided the Sexo was the next best thing..
I spent some time weighing my options of mounting it forward or further back and started drilling holes and running screws in.

Size: 59.2 KB

Name: uploadfromtaptalk1387873641120.jpg
Views: 997
Size: 73.4 KB

From there I looked at using the front exo braces bent to line up as a front support to the wraith rails.

Name: uploadfromtaptalk1387873657940.jpg
Views: 966
Size: 63.5 KB

Then I looked at the front cross section on the wraith and how it mounted to the rails..

Name: uploadfromtaptalk1387873675716.jpg
Views: 963
Size: 60.7 KB

Cut, chop and drill it into place..

I used a 3/32 for the screw holes and a 13/64 for the female butt joint.

Name: uploadfromtaptalk1387873689357.jpg
Views: 952
Size: 44.9 KB

I turned the front bumper mounts/supports around and cut, an drilled them as well.

Name: uploadfromtaptalk1387873712202.jpg
Views: 964
Size: 50.4 KB

Name: uploadfromtaptalk1387873733957.jpg
Views: 976
Size: 63.1 KB

Name: uploadfromtaptalk1387873749299.jpg
Views: 950
Size: 49.0 KB

Name: uploadfromtaptalk1387873764177.jpg
Views: 964
Size: 46.0 KB

Next was the exo lid mount.. it all started coming together at this point. A little work with a sanding drum and fitment was a breeze..

Name: uploadfromtaptalk1387873781033.jpg
Views: 955
Size: 57.4 KB

Name: uploadfromtaptalk1387873803760.jpg
Views: 968
Size: 62.5 KB

Once I put it in place, I realized the 2 screw holes would lock it all in together.

Name: uploadfromtaptalk1387873817447.jpg
Views: 970
Size: 47.1 KB

So I drilled 2 more holes..

Name: uploadfromtaptalk1387873834330.jpg
Views: 966
Size: 55.5 KB

Name: uploadfromtaptalk1387873846272.jpg
Views: 952
Size: 52.6 KB

Now if I had to do it again, I may not have turned the 2 wraith bumper mounts around, but knowing how I treat the thing and with a bigger power plant goin in. I'm sure all the support it can get is welcomed..

That's the middle and front end. Ill jump on the rear tomm..

Rigs been a blast to build, run and abuse! And.... Its prolly not goin to get any better, any time soon! B-)

The 10t pinion was a little long. It was also solid at the end. So I drilled it out to sit farther down on the motor shaft.
When that still wasn't enough, I cut a spacer..

Name: uploadfromtaptalk1387950450116.jpg
Views: 935

And drilled a couple holes for air.

Name: uploadfromtaptalk1387950462969.jpg
Views: 907

Put it in to check everything out and wire lengths.

Esc, bec, and Rx will go under the hood.

There are two of us in my local town here that have builds similar to this one. Eggbert from here on RCC put together both chassis' and fully built the other couple rigs I have seen like this. I recently purchased my chassis from him and will be doing a build on it soon. Your build is coming along nicely!
