I've been running the Locked Up RC bushing for awhile now in my Yeti with really good luck as well. VP just got too busy with everything else.

So the bushings should be better than the thrust bearings?

So everyone can complain that they aren't a direct swap on to a Spawn? And that they didn't include 17 spare bearings for the low low price of free.

I justed called vp and even dan said he just went to brushless roc412 and is doing a shakedown run this weekend and was wondering what to do himself. Said they are to busy to redo the inner bearing. He said if he blows the bearing this weekend he will also go with the mini loco bushing. Guess i will have to try it until somebody is willing to mod the housing. I know somebody out in the forum has the ability to re-machine some housings.

The ar60 is in a lot more than just the spawn you know. Just include a $1 bearing that fits the mod and raise the price of the housing $5. Then sell little 4 packs of the bearings just like they do with the fast eddy bearings on their site.

But if they are to busy that s fine. I would rather use the bushing for now and let them get the stuff on the site back in stock first. My son is dying for a set of 2.2 KMC's.

So, any final word that the bushings are superior to the thrust bearing or the dlux mod?

Did you notice that they sell the Yeti knuckle with a bearing because they machined it to be bigger so they included the bearing so its still a direct swap haven't heard people complaining that they didn't get 17 bearings and they only got 2.

ordered a set of the mini loco bushings 2 days ago shipping confirmation came thru today. gonna have to wait till wed for them. Then pound on them for a couple weeks to see how they do. But if Harley says the bushing is good I am inclined to go with what he says.

Well, I had the super shafty thrust bearing in for a week or so, and the OD front diff started slipping gears, making a clicking noise. It had one shim between the bearing and the pinion, and another between the ring gear and the bearing.
i guess i don't recommend the thrust bearing....

Have you been introduced to the modded housing that dlux does?

yup. and asked him like 3 times and he wont mod just the housing for a customer unless they buy the whole dlux 1808 axle. which I don't really care for the rear truss is way not scale looking and the front knuckles are just way too big for my taste also. Too me the 1808 axles kill the look of the currie by hiding too much of the center housing.
I also have the mini loco bushings and now I am just waiting on the holmes 540xl brushless to see if they can handle that big ass motor on 3s. Should have everything by this weekend.

Right, I agree with you there!! And who can afford that 1808 hahaha
But I was talking about his modded ar60 axle. Also, can't wait to hear what you think of that motor from holmes! Seems like it would be putting a big block into a vw beetle! You have a yeti to try it in as well?

Oh you meant the modded plastic housing he has. Yeah i didnt think about that one cause i already bought 4 currie axles 2 for me and 2 for my son. No i dont have a yeti to try it in. I am gonna try the motor in my wraith. I race baja trucks so shoving a big ass motor in a truck its not suppose to be in is nothin new too me lol.

Any updates on this? Locked up is out of stock of both bushings, still nothing from vanquish either.. only option is dlux modded housing or wait for locked up to restock the bushings? Just went brushless roc412 3100kv on 3s, having waiting mips, vanquish lockers and hd gears but would like to get bushings in there as well... i dont like havin to baby this thing fearing breakage before i have everything to install.

Seems like the dlux modded housing are lasting but need more input from people still running the modded housing.

I have them and love them ordered a few extra sets cause I figured they would go out of Stock. They seem to be working great in my wraith with the holmes 540xl puller pro I only have the bushing on the inside on the otside I still run the bearings and I run this rig hard no problems I think the inside is what takes the brunt of the force. I also run vpcurrie housings so maybe plastic housings are flexing.

The bushings have been in their since Christmas with lots of run time and 3 comps on them.
