I bet since they did it with their original wraith housing VP will make a currie housing with the bigger bearing too.

It would sure be nice if they did! I would love to buy just the pumpkin with the bigger bearing modded for it!

So after bushings, beatings and the thrust bearings I decided to try the dlux modded AR60 housings. It has been the best so far, no problems or issues through tons of abuse! Very affordable as well!

^^ Same here. The Dlux modified (big bearing) housings, with beef tubes, VP outers and Dlux G10 carbon trusses is beyond bulletproof

I just got a front and rear housings from Dlux. Very well done. It has a nice big 13mm bearing in the housing. They are listed under Yeti,Wraith.

99.99% chance of a no. Plus they wear and make a mess inside.

5x13 bearings is the fix.

Digging up a old thread here, but is Dlux going to do anymore modded cases ? or is there a better way of doing it? I want to stay with the plastic cases on 1 of my rigs, can the stock case just be machined out to fit the bigger bearing ?

Ive been running thrust bearings in my front axle for a long time now but when i went to install one in the rear it wouldent sit right in the housing also it looks like it wore the pinnion shaft down alittle so i couldent get it to work in my rear but i am noticing there is almost 1mm of slop on each side ofnthe bearing so im gona try modding the housing to fit the 13mm bearings for the rear im gona run the fronts till i cant though

I PMed him yesterday about this exact question. I figure with a 13mm endmill, a drill press and a good vice or a jig it wouldn't be all that hard. Just set a depth stop so you don't go too far. I have a new axle coming and if he's not doing them any longer I may just try it.

Thrust bearing just failed 8 months of abuse in steal axles and steal cage and 1/8 scale motor runin 3s/4s in the water mud sand rocks and snow and always put away wet and it just failed if the metal housing held up ill try another one if not ill go the with a 13mm bearing to match the rear when i did the rear i just used standered drill bits in a hand drill and steped up the bits till the bearing fit the hole i did the big bearing mod on the rear and rebuilt the front with new gears and thrust bearing right around the same time and the rear is still smooth

Sorry faulse alarm it was a locker bearing i changed the outer pinnion bearing to cause it was going out
