So.... Is this softer than Axial's hardened pinion shafts? (from the upgraded HD ring and pinion sets)

Thats funny!
You should read the names they are throwing around for me on Chit Chat.

We've got more hours to run on these and I'll talk with them again this week.

It wasn't a spin off... Can't I have just a little soup? Maybe four bites worth??? ;-)

All has been well with them. Still running them, not sure how much time is "enough" time just yet. Everything is still nice and snug though.

That's news I like to hear. How many hours to you estimate you've got on them now?

First we had bushings, then we had bearings, now we have bushings again. 8)

Just wondering if anyone has tryed the BOCA ceramic bearings? I know they aren't cheap, but they should last??

I'll check again, but at this point I haven't noticed any changes and have stopped thinking about it almost. I'll get back to you tonight.

They will have less resistance until they fail but they won't last any longer. Furthermore when they fail you crunch the r&p. Bushings don't have sudden failure so you have time to replace them instead of having to replace the r&p every time.

Yup! Worked great.

I hadn't ran them for a week or so prior due to selling the Jimmy's chassis and building the new rig up during the down time.

I believe Harley has them in the Curries on his Hit & Run build, and he just ran that pretty hard at Goat Hill, so I guess we'll have to wait for the teardown on that rig. "thumbsup"

VP is very busy. They have quite a few new products that will be released soon but they haven't find time to finish everything up. You'll have to be patient, they will get them up as soon as they can. No ETA currently available.

Re: AR60 Pinion Bushings vs Bearings vs Bushings Thread

I busted my front pinion bearings on sunday and i haven't used the Wraith since i made the change, i think one of the factors is the front driveshaft angle which is very steep compared to the rear angle which is almoststraight in relation to the pinion, when it failed i touched the front driveshaft joint at the pinion and it was pretty hot, the rear one was cold, so i'll correct the front axle and i'll see if i improve the bearing life
