I looked at the cost. It's 75shipped for me to do the upgrade. I'm good. I'll keep sending back the rrp gear for a
Warrenty work

I'll put my torque against you anyday. My 7.5 sc4x didn't have enough torque, and would over heat at anything

Really, youre on the right track, Im not knocking the motor. Its a beast and will rip a bead on demand.. Anything Tekin over 3000kv will leave you with a grin too.
So, Do you still have the stock outputs..? (long shaft rear and short front?)

It bugs me when people knock a vendor and don't even explain why they are doing it.

These are brand new from Super Shafty. He sent me the picture yesterday and said he is a week or so out.

I switched to the SCX style because I wanted the beefy outputs, now you can get those and stay with the Wraith case. Makes building your transmission in stages MUCH easier since you don't have to switch cases and outputs at the same time now.

The ONLY thing about this is that Vanquish doesn't make an aluminum case for the Wraith, so I would have to use something like an HR case if I wanted to switch to aluminum down the road

That plastic case didn't last long, would have to go Aluminium quickly. It was on the 2nd take off, and my trans hit the roof

That my friend is what I'd call an install problem

I ran the Plastic case in the Jimmys 4x4 rig for over a year with a Pro4.

Oh, it was my fault. I've head to take my trans out so many times that the holes became very worn. I'm getting some bigger machine screws

It seams to me if the rear output was turned down to ax10 bearing size and then used a sleeve to bring it back up to wraith bearing size you could use it in your wraith tranny and if you switched to an aluminum ax10 you could just ditch the sleeve.

That's a possibility but I don't really like the idea of a sleeve on my output like that.

It could likely be designed to accommodate a specific bearing that would allow for the intermediate stage of your upgrade path, but I doubt most people would be concerned with that.

Thats all you need w/steel idler.. Plastic case is fine too. This runs the 5.5 and its been bout a year now but its only a moderately built rig.

Oh, agreed, they look great and function is second to none w/2 bearings. I just cant justify cost on all the many rigs I have. I would have to downsize a few just to buy tranny goods for all the others.

If a rrp broke, stock outputs won't stand a chhance

"All you need" is relative. If you push them hard, they will break. We've seen examples of that on here.
