It looks like the BFGs work much better than I thought they would. I was expecting them to struggle and spin on all of those rocks, even the sharp ones. Are they going to make an r35 tire?

I'm planning to get the r35 bfgs when they come out. I think they'll be baddass just like the 1:1 bfg crawlers

These new tires are pretty stiff and the lugs are large, most people have already acknowledged that. They didn't do too bad on the rocks but these aren't going to be making a big showing in the comp scene any time soon. I would still like to try the sticky versions of these though, just to see how they do.

From what I have heard, yes they will be making an R35. Honestly I thought they would spin a lot more than they did as well.

When the R35's come out, I would like to throw them on there and see how they do.

I wish I knew that drive shaft trick earlier when I upgraded.

Video will be up on Thursday. "thumbsup"

Upgrade is complete though. I had spun the plastic hex hub op degrees. Couldn't figure out why the wheel wouldn't come off!

Do you think the kit version of the PS Wraith will come with r35 BFG's?

Axial always puts the sticky version in their kits so I would assume if they make the PSC version available in a kit that it will follow that route. I have not seen a press release on a kit version yet though.

What are they going to leave out of the kit if they make it? The rtr is missing things due to keeping the price the same

Since they have the base prices the same now, you will probably see the same things in the kit. Aluminum lower links, universals and sticky tires.

Again though, still haven't seen any word that a kit is coming.

Week 4

<iframe width="560" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/sIPMJElnbLM" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

I started to lose a bead on one of my rear tires and while removing the wheel I noticed I had started to spin the plastic hub adapter. So I decided to upgrade to the VP hex hubs.

Stock Track Width (outside of tire): 11.25"

I chose to use the VP 475 SLW hubs: VANQUISH SLW WHEEL HUBS

You need a set of 12mm Hexes: Axial Racing 12mm Aluminum Hex Hub (black) (4pcs) #AX30429 - The Crawlers Store LLC

You will also need 4-40 hardware to for the hubs, I already had plenty laying around the shop. I don't know of a hardware pack for them just yet but I'll see what I can find out about that. The hardware in the stock axial hubs is 3mm and will not work with the new hubs.

Install was straight forward.

With the 475 hubs, the track width went up to 11.75", a gain of .500" total. If you want to retain the stock track width you would want to go with the 225 hubs from VP. I will be staying with the 475's as I like the increased width.

I don't understand why vp insists on making sae parts for metric trucks...

While that has been a topic of discussion in the past, and I'm not 100% sure of the answer, it is a pretty minor issue. A handful of screws and a hex driver are well within most people comprehension ability :ror:

Subscribed.. Nice truck!
