The tires don't grip very well, they are a little stiff. They sound cool when they are looking for grip.

The wheels lost a couple beads today on the rocks.

The PSC Wraith does now come with hexes. It uses a pin drive in plastic hubs.
Thank you for the picture and info Harley.

I took the Wraith to Goat Hill yesterday and beat on it pretty hard. Nothing let go on me however. The stock servo is getting pretty loose at the output gear which doesn't surprise me. The stock plastic steering linkage is that servos saving grace, if I replace that I know that servo will not last another hour.

For next week I'm leaning towards installing new lower links.

I still plan on using titanium links. I still feel that this is the best choice, I've bent too many stainless links over the years to go a different route. If I was really just trying to save money I'd build some myself but that's not really the point I guess.

A full set of lower links fits right into my weekly budget. I am still undecided if this will for sure be my upgrade for the week however. I have a couple more days of running to see if anything breaks.

Ok thanks for the info. I broke my front lowers and made my own with all thread an alum tube. But they are starting to use abuse.

So would you recommend the Beadlocks? Only tire I'd ever lose a bead on are pit bulls or the tsl swampers.

I'm not 100% sure yet. I will have to reserve judgement for a later day. These tires are pretty stiff and it makes me wonder if they would lose a softer tires bead even quicker.

Maybe I'll go do a quick video on that today.

Awesome! Thanks Harley. Just interested to know since they are a good looking budget set of Beadlocks considering they are $15/pair

You will at a minimum need to upgrade hubs pretty much right away. So calculate that into the cost.

Not a problem since I have several sets already. These just look great and would fit my Jeep build perfectly...if they work properly. Keep up the great review/build

I rarely ever run heavy drag brake on these rigs. I like some roll when off the throttle. When running courses like Goat Hill, I hate when I let go of the throttle and the truck endo's because I had to maneuver myself. On my Hit & Run I run 35% drag brake.

Ok will have to try that. I was thinking of dropping the drag to 50 an working it from there.

Harley do you have any pictures of the mods you did to make the front driveshaft work without rubbing?

No pictures on that. Just sand the plastic away until it clears. I've done it on several Wraiths and it is a pretty easy task. I don't run a spur cover but there is plenty of material there to sand away to let everything clear if you still want to use it.

I shot some video on this earlier this morning. The BFG's pull out pretty easy (too easy) and that was making me think the wheels wouldn't hold a bead very well. I mounted up a set of RC4WD TTC Baja Claws and couldn't pull it out at all. So I think the wheels get a from me.

I'll post the video later, I'll try and edit it over lunch.
