Default front axle binding

I recently put aluminum knuckles on my truck. Now the front axle binds so bad u can actually watch the driveshaft twist!! I went through the whole thing and I shimed the pinion so that's not it cause it still does it. I have found that its the wheels. When I tighten them down it binds. Of I back them of a few turns its fine but, I can't leave it like that. Remember, is all I did was replace the knuckles!! Thanks for the help!!

I don't mean to be capitan obvious but did you check the easy stuff? It's kind of hard to say much more without having the parts in front of me. Do you see marks left where parts are rubbing?

hex is rubbing on the knuckle,
wheel is rubbing on the knuckle (hex too narrow)
axle is rubbing the inside of the knuckle
Did you remember to put a pin in the axle for the hex
Make sure both bearings are seated completely

Stick axle shafts with the dog bones binding? I had that issue once I switched my front end to aluminum fit some reason, and switched to universal joint shafts and it went away

Yes pins are in,all bearings in and seated all the way. I checked for signs of rubbing but didn't see any.

If the hex rubbing the knuckles is the problem then how would I fix that??

Place a small, thin shin(washer type) between axle bearing and axle pin, make sure that the outer diameter of the shin is not touching the outer bearing race. Check traxxas, they have a large variety of whims available.

Shave down the back of the hex on a belt sander.

Before you do this make sure you have enough room between the wheel around the hex and the knuckle.

I actually have just got this same problem with only one front hub on my wraith when I put a new set of rc4wd steel beadlock wheels on...the wheel has to be pulling in to far so needs to be shimmed since the wheel hex is part of the wheel
