Hello guys, i got my Wraith poison spyder today, have gone thru the beginers guide, and from what i understand is that if I use a 3S Lipo on stock system, it will reduce the motor life and and also i should use a separate BEC, but what about the stock ESC will it hold gud with 3S ??? ![]() thanks, merin |

yes the stock esc will work just fine. i have the same spyder wraith and i have run 3s since day one. zero issues have been noticed other then the stock 20t motor seized solid on me lol. yes a bec will be a must, and yes the esc will pick up on the 3s pack and the lipo cutoff will work fine, it wont drain your packs low.

If you are running the RTR. Change the stock gearing to 84/16, break in the motor, add a BEC and have fun. I did this and my wraith is still running on 3s.

I wouldn't waste the time breaking in a brushed motor from a RTR. If you were racing running a box stock class you would do it to maybe gain a little but not worth it in this case. |

I have also been running 3 cell since i bought my wraith, the stock esc is just fine, the stock 20 turn motor just gets little warm, still running stock spur gear 81t i think? just went down on the pinion to a 18t, did have issues with trying 2 cell with a low c rating(20c an 30c) had to run atleast a 45c an higher to get it to move, change the gearing, run a 3 cell an you be happy!
