i agree. i love my gripfab hooptypros, but man these lockedup wheels with the really aggressive iroks just really step it up.

i can tell a pretty big difference between the 5.75" foams and the 6" foams in regards to how well they support the weight of this thing. as always it was a challenge to get the foams to be all perfect inside the tire, but i seem to be getting better at it.

the pitbull/gripfab combo is going back on my pink wraith, which i think i'll turn into a gopro camera car.

i'd love to take both my wraiths out and see how they compare against each other. one is dialed and light with 22 scale points, the other is total beef and a total pig with around 45 scale points...

Custom Anodizing by Lattice Innovations

$60 a set + shipping. they don't do pink but, they do yellow.

some better pics for my homies.
took them with my 5 year old camera and not my 3 year old cell phone.

theres always little mods and issues with custom-built rigs, this one had very few. hella cool rig.

Your 5 year old camera seems to work just fine. Your "finished" pictures show an awesome rig.
Scaleready chassis is really well thought out. I don't think you could have done this much better.

so rick (mr. gripfab) hooked me up with two delrin diff covers. they werent completely ready to bolt on, just more or less some prototype leftovers...

i had the perfect plan to cut both diff covers in a way that one large piece covered the exterior diff, and the smaller piece would work on the inside (pinion) side.

it worked killer, besides the fact that on the rear facing diffs i freaking had a stoner moment and cut on the wrong side of the diff mounting holes... and ruined them.

so... i only have fwd facing delrin diff skids. on the rear facing side of the diffs ill just omit the lower 3 diff cap screws and round the sharp, snaggy edge of the aluminum diff caps with my dremel.
i would have loved to have these front and rear, but whats done is done. and at least i didnt mess up the front ones. ;)

heres my seasoned c2 metalheads where i rounded off the aluminum diff caps. not pretty at all but it helped these axles a whole hell of alot from snagging up on everything.

needs some tuning but im digging it. over the weekend i managed to drive it hard enough to lunch the front ring and pinion bearings twice, other than that it held up killer. good enough for 3rd place in the ecsc ttc!

thanks mang!

ive never done a g6 but i wouldnt hesitate to use this for one. battery changes are easy enough.

i got some new tubes from gcm coming so i can get some 4ws action going, i think i'll just mirror the front setup in regards to servo placement and phb. also i got 2 of those integy winches i'm going to make a dual motor winch out of.

just got my new 4ws axle tubes from gcm, so now its all on me to tear the rig down and braze-in a rear servo and phb mount.

im not in a huge hurry to tear this thing down just yet. its in fine shape for whatever gtg's we might have this fall or winter, and i got a couple other coals in the project fire that are burning a little hotter than this dude. i might shoot scaleready a pm and see if he can do it.

no... sorta the opposite. It just looks more scale and you get scale points for it (4 I think).
