Default Wraithzilla II Build... Well, Assembly really

Wanted to start a new thread for this truck now that am starting to assemble parts. This is my first wraith so I am sure I will have several more questions once I get into assembly. I assembled the curries yesterday (pretty nice parts) and my first questions have come up.
Couple things.
1. I used the stock gearing in the front assembly and the under drive gearing in the rear. The front spins pretty freely but has one spot in the rotation that gets very slightly tight when I spin the outdrive (not bad at all, I'm just used to super smooth in my race buggies and truggies) . Will that break in a little once I drive it? Also the when I spin the rear, it is pretty tight. It's not notchy it's just more difficult to spin it. Is that normal since I used the under drive gearing? Someone said the under drive has the best mesh out of the 3 gearing setups so I am hoping that will break in once it is driven too?

this servo mount will work on my rock jock wraith axle right?
https://www.amainhobbies.com/vanquis...s07970/p496238

Or would I be better off with the stock axial servo plate and these vp pieces?

Which links should I get? The 1/4" stainless or the titanium ones? I know it's not much weight but the stainless ones would add some weight down low which would be.a good thing I think. But I think titanium has even better corrosion resistance than stainless and they look nice.

Also narrowed down tire choice to either XL Swampers or RB2. Any opinions on which is better?

I was looking at Crawler Innovations site and I am wondering is the $17.95 price for the comp cut inners with soft or med or whatever outer, is that for (1) foam or a pair? It looks like it is a pair cause they have a pic with 2. But then I saw someone in the forsale section selling a set of 4 for $65. So now I am questioning it.

What is this piece sticking off of the skid? Is that something I need on there or is that just some flashing or something from the mold?

I thought it was but it has like a little hex shaped piece in the center and I just wanted to be sure before I ripped it off. Thanks

Yea I haven't ordered yet but I decided on the swamper XL. Esc/motor, Tires and wheels will be the last thing I buy.i am just buying all the other odds and ends now. All the major parts (chasis, trans, drive shafts) are already on order.

I am looking into shocks but need a little advice. Are these 2 traxxas shocks the same shock just one part number is for 2 shocks and the other is for a set of 8? I had the second ones on my FLM Emaxx and were pretty decent. But I would really like a shock with a threaded shock body. I hate using those plastic pre-load spacers.

Amazon.com: Traxxas 4962 XX-Long Big Bore Shocks for Maxx Trucks: Toys & Games

These have a threaded body... are they any good?

Looks like these are the same as the shock above just with a piggy back.... Is the resevior functional or just for looks?

The clips are nice because its easy to keep track of your amount of preload rather than counting turns of the collar. Axial springs on the XXL big bores have 1/8" preload right off the bat so if you choose correct weight spring you wouldn't have to use any clips if you didn't want to. Purple, orange and red are the most common axial springs I use. The Black axial springs seem popular but ive never had a chassis light enough to use them.

The Swamper XL will compensate for a crummy suspension setup like no other tire, so even if its making all the climbs watch the action of your suspension. You will find you get more satisfaction out of a little stiffer suspension rather than to soft.

Can someone post some pics of the incision suspension links so I can see how they go on? This is my first wraith and I'm doing this from scratch. From what I can tell the single bend pieces are the uppers and the double bend pieces are lowers? And also I am not sure how to arrange the bends on the truck (do they go up and down or should they be mounted so the bends are sideways (parallel with the ground)). Also there is a short and long end in the single bend pieces. Don't know if the short end is mounted to the skid or the axle or if it doesn't matter. That's probably confusing how I worded that but a few pics can show me everything I'm sure. I wasn't able to find any good pics in Google. And I have already watched the vanquish video so please don't post a link to that. Thank you
