Default Szczerba's IFS Wraith Build #2

This is a semi-built, rebuild thread.

Built this up about a year ago.
Szczerb'a Wraith Build, of sorts

Should have never sold it but money talks.

Anyways. I had some parts of an Exo left over so I figured I would build another one with my current 2.2 wraith.

Main chassis lines were laid down by mojave450rider

VP Wraith Axle out back with VP locker and HD gears.
Dinky RC rear 4 link mount
Wraith Skid
Exo front end
Supershafty one piece motor mount
Robinson Trans gears
Crawler Innovations 5mm transmission outputs
Mamba Max Pro
Tekin Pro4 4000kv
MIP Drivelines
VP LED bars. 2" and 4"
2.2 Pitbulls
VP KMC Wheels
Crawler Innovations 6.0" Double Deuce foams. Firm outers.

Here is the solid axle setup from a few months ago.
And one from the STL G6. Rig broke pretty quick that day.

Cut, chop, rebuild.

Got most of the front reworked for the Exo IFS.

Rear upperlink suspension will get attended to soon. The wraith suspension link geometry just doesn't do it for me anymore. The rear will have more up travel in the near future. I'll be swapping out the rear shocks for some longer ones.

Vanquish clamping locker to hold the output drives in the locker up front. I used different set screws.
Axial HD 38/13 gears.

Added some adjustability to the rear upper links.

Chassis Mostly complete

Did you use knurled point set screws?

Those are the ones I've had any luck with locking up the Exo' ed front end.

Rig looks good.

See the first picture in the last post i made. On the end of the driver. Ive learned not really torque down on these set screw cause they can push the axle shaft to one side.

Playing with full bump rear shock mounting. May have to rework the rear part of the chassis.
The front wont compress as much as pictured.

Rear upper link geometry is better after upper link mounts were moved. Still can go up a hole too.

Wasnt impressed with the down travel with 4" shocks so I mounted some TLT mounts on some steel revo push rods and used some 5" shocks.

Presto bango perfecto bump and droop.
Smooth as cream corn on a slippy slide cycling too.

Thanks. Plenty of travel with a low CG. Handles great on the rocks and at speeds

Made some inner fenders and reinstalled interior and whatnots.

Thanks for the video's Josh.

I finished up this rig about 24 hours before this event. I didn't know how it would handle. There is work to be done in the rear suspension to get the front end to stay down on steep verticals. It soaks up the bumps great through the fast sections.

The Savox made it through the G6 course but was squeelling during the TCC event. And I forgot I didnt have all my Electronics fully water proofed. So the sippy hole did me in.
