Figured I'd show off my new mods before I install it. Vanquish case, HR gears, supershafty outputs, MIP shafts, 6mm outputs. Also have added titanium links and a axial clamping servo arm. When I get it all buttoned up tomorrow I'll take some pics.

Here ii is all put together. Question, do metal tranny gears make some noise ? When driving very slow there is a slight clicking noise. Can also be heard holding truck and spinning tires by hand. Didn't do it before. This is what I did before it started making this noise. VP tranny case, HR steel gears, supershafty 6mm chromemoly extended outputs, MIP driveshafts. After these mods it started making the noise. I took it apart and it all looks fine. Bearings only have 2 runs on them and all spin great. Defiantly coming from tranny area. I also just changed from the stock gearing to 15/87.

check the set screw on the pinion see if it is rubbing. That will cause the clicking also check the motor plate as if it isn't straight you will get a click from not having proper mesh to the spur. last make sure you are not missing any teeth on the spur. Try those first

I checked all that. Motor seems strait, spur is fine(I even tried another), setscrew isn't even close to rubbing on anything.

Hopefully the 3300. Gear the diffs as low as possible 13/43 with HD gears only and try 15/56 at the trans. You'll love it on 3s. Hope your packs are high C rating and quality cells.

Yep the 3300kv. I have the stock ratio HD gears and 14/56 at the trans. Hopefully that'll work. I got some good gens ace lipos.

And a good time you will have. Keep an eye on your packs. They are the weakest link in your/my setup.

What happens to them? I only have 2s packs right now but I plan on getting some good 3s packs when I pay down my recent credit card purchases.

High torque load on a brushless motor draws much amperage. If your packs can't handle the draw they get hot and puff a little each time. Repeat this demand over and over and they will die as all lipos do. Nothing is forever. Better packs will just be able to take the abuse longer. That's why I use MA packs, the warranty gives me two for the price of one. Like I said, keep an eye on them. Puffy packs are not happy.

That is really good advice as most think a lipo is a lipo.

I think my lipos are up to the task. What's a MA lipo? I Google searched and it and found nothing.

I finally got my castle MMP/tekin pro4 installed. It cogged very bad at first then I realized the sensor plug came out. Plugged that back in and now it works great. Crawls well and is a blast at high speed. I just have it running on 2s right now but I will grab some 3s lipos soon. Its pouring rain outside right now but I'm going to run it more as soon as it clears up.

I'm resurrecting my old thread here. I've done a lot to my wraith lately. I just put a bunch of BGR stuff on it and I'm waiting for my new Gcm axles and pitbull rock beast 2's to arrive. I bought some 3s lipos for it and wow, it rips with the pro4. Very fun to drive. I just cant belive the money i have put into this thing. This was supposed to be a budget friendly build, now im into the mid $2500's. Ouch!! Here is how it sits right now. Sorry for the poser shots. It's all I have right now.
