Default Two Wraiths

Got a father and son deal going here. My son up till this year had not shown much interest in crawlers. He started asking questions and wanting to drive a rig I already had so for Christmas I got him a Wraith. Having already purchased one for myself pretty much built them the same. Nothing fancy but dependable trail rigs was my goal.

Parts list:
-Axial HD gears for the axles
-Robinson racing trans. gears
-Pro-line Slash front shocks on all four corners
-VP titanium drag link and tie rod set on the red one and Chaotic Crawlers drag link and tie rod set on the gray one
-VP 1/4inch titanium bent links
-VP chassis mounted servo. kit
-Pro-line 2.2 TSL's with Crawler Innovations two stage foam
-Mayhem Eng. Monsters for the wheels
-Novak Goat crawler systems with 32pitch gearing
-Pro-line Jeep JK bodies
-Dinky RC rear trays and The Crawl Space front electronics trays

Thanks for checking them out.

Fancy doesn't make something capable. Nice looking rigs, and props for being a helluva father.

Very true on the first point and thanks. Took them out this past weekend and had a good time. Used to running 1.9's on my other rigs, my normal crawling spots are pretty easy for the 2.2's but it was nice to run them instead of work on them, lol.

Glad you guys had fun, I'm anxious for my first Wraith to arrive. Like most, I drool over all the VP and high end stuff, but most likely mine will be a more budget friendly build. If that's even possible in RC

Getting all of that high end stuff is very possible and fairly budget friendly if you only buy it as needed, an upgrade it when it breaks kind of thing. It took me almost a year to get mine where it is now and its very reliable and bullet proof for the most part. I used to be the guy that broke something every trip and now the only thing that ever breaks is the spur gear, and that only happens every few months. Just do what you can and have fun doing it.

I can't wait to do the father son rc. But that's gonna be a few years.

I've been in RC for over 20 years now so I have a recycling program I guess you could say. These two trucks were funded by a lot of stuff I was no longer using and I started to get into RC Heli's and realized I didn't have the time so they helped fund them as well. You will have a great time with your Wraith, and as Crawler Nut stated "Getting all of that high end stuff is very possible and fairly budget friendly if you only buy it as needed, an upgrade it when it breaks kind of thing." This is very true.

It's well worth the wait, we tried Short Course racing but he got too bored at the track. Liked it but didn't like hanging out at the tracks all day. This is something we can do while camping and there are some spots close to the house we can run on so it's working good. Hopefully he will get the wrenching bug, so far I do all that and he just drives, lol. Don't mind it a bit thought.

Yep, that was my plan all along guys. There are only a few things that will be right off the bat, mostly motor and gearing related for reliability. Thanks!
